Still VERY windy and raining, and probably will stay this way most of the day. They're saying tornados are still likely, as well.

Glad you okay and back in the land of the empowered. Would be better to be without power during daylight than nighttime, but somehow it never works out that way.

Now if we would just hear from Colly, I'd feel better.

The downside, here, is that since the young'un goes to a county school instead of a city school, he's got a day off. Of course, this info wasn't put out there until after his bus was already supposed to have been here.

So now, we're both up, and wide awake, when we could've been sleeping. Oh, well.....such is life.

I was reading in the paper this morning that Mississippi was very hard hit. That scared me.

I'm trying not to worry, and not succeeding very well.

We've been getting hit with wind and rain since last night though I know it's not as bad as those South of us. When I took the kids to school this morning, there were tree branches everywhere, and the wind was blowing hard enough that I couldn't hold on to the umbrella. Me and the kids got soaked. Luckily for us so far it's just been rain... no tornadoes/thunderstorms. It kind of looks like it may be looping around though, so unless it loses strength before it loops back, we might get some of the nastier stuff.

Hoping Colly and anyone else in the path of the storm is okay.

thanks. I've got to go over to my grandmother's old place and see what kind of damage was sustained. Hopefully not much, but the old place is situated under several hundred year old or older oaks and I have a sinking feeling there are some downed limbs after what I saw on the drive up.

Last I heard, Joe was up towards Oxford. that's pretty far north. He should have been fine.
