The question about Katie Porter isn’t about what Republicans think or say. Republicans are irrelevant in California. The question is about what Democrats are saying. I heard Democrat Dan Turrentine’s comments yesterday on The Morning Meeting and saw Porter’s damage control interview later in the day.

She’s got fences to mend and nerves to calm within her party. She’s still considered the front runner in the governor race at the moment. Padilla is still mulling over a run. LA businessman Rick Caruso is rumored to jump in. It’s still early. Good article in CalMatters today about the race.
