I dislike Trump so much and hate to see him have another chance at being our President but then I remember this quote. We are fucked either way.

The video leaves out the portion of Harris’ speech that makes it clear she is talking about using power responsibly, not bragging about abusing the power she had as a prosecutor.

The social media clip abruptly ends in the middle of her next line, which begins, “So, I learned at a very young age, the power.”

But Harris’ full speech, available on C-SPAN, makes it clear she wasn’t bragging about abusing the power she wielded as a prosecutor. To the contrary, she went on to describe “the power to impact real human beings that we have when we hold these offices" and criticize then-President Donald Trump.

“We have a person in the White House who holds the office of president of the United States who does not fully or even partially understand what it means to have power,” Harris said. “He doesn’t understand what it means to be powerful, because when you truly understand what it means to be powerful, you understand that the greatest measure of your strength is not who you beat down – it’s who you lift up.”

Trump was already going to win Michigan, but Arab voters will make it a landslide. "We as Muslims stand with President Trump because he promises peace NOT war. Sarcasm aside, that's right. It is totally fine and legit. Your side does exactly the same thing with Trump as with Harris - pulling things out of context and putting a spin on them. Only the goal is the opposite.

I mean, to be clear, @TastySuckToy, the quote from Harris that you were referring to here was cut short to imply that her point was the exact opposite of what it really was, as is made abundantly clear by the full context. With Trump, the full context almost always proves us right. You're always pointing to "Very fine people on both sides", where the full context shows that yes, he did denounce the white supremacists and Nazis; but he also felt the need to argue that there were people on their side who were somehow good people. All he had to do was not say there were "very fine people on both sides" and you'd be able to say he unequivocally condemned the bad guys. Trouble is, he never actually does that (another example is "Stand back and stand by"). Why? We can only guess, but a likely explanation is that he just is not capable of not throwing some sort of bone to people he sees as supporting him.

Vice President Harris released her medical history on Saturday, which said she is in “excellent health” and has the physical and mental resiliency required to be president, if elected in November.

The report was released from Joshua R. Simmons, the physician to the vice president. He said he has been her primary care physician for the last three and a half years.

Trump, 78, in August told CBS News he would “very gladly” release his medical records to the public, a month after the first assassination attempt on him in Butler, Pa., but since has not.
