Spring is in the air here in New Zealand. :D

The leaves are budding....

The grass is growing faster.....

The lambs are bouncing round....

The daffidils are blooming.....

My cat is pregnant.....

The air is warmer.....

Oh no that means winter is on it's way for most of you.... so sad. ;)

I like winter
Like a visit to cemetery
Quiet and peaceful
You will feel the cycle of life
This doesn't even lime

The late summer flowers are still at their peak...

The undergrowth is turning gold...

The first maple leaves are turning scarlet and orange...

The days are all cool and pleasant...

I will only have to cut the lawn another three or so times this year...

In a few months, I will be able to step off my back deck, put on the cross-country skis, and ski off into my beautiful winter wonderland...

Whoops, didn't mean to make you jealous. T.H... :D

It was 106 here yesterday, so I'm not sad at all that winter (actually fall) is coming. Bring on the rain! :)

Yes fall is upon us, and rainy season here. But for now it's ok, and a lot cooler than it has been.

Course I'm getting outta here before winter (I hope) to a warmer climate.

Not a chance....

It's only a 30 minute country drive from me to either the west or east coast from my home.... I am my own boss so I can take morning or afternoon swims or fishing trips when I want. :)

Whoops, didn't mean to make you jealous. T.C.

Not to worry.

The beach is just over a kilometer from me. My "private" waterfall is a five minute walk the other way. I also work for myself -- which is another way of saying we don't get benefits or paid vacations?

:p

It isn't fall that I don't care for I actually like fall....it is winter that I could do with out.

Tell me about it....

But right now I can surf Lit while I have afternoon tea and no bustard can stop me. :D

True... bring it on..... lack of clothing layers :D

Doesn't every season offer it's special charms....the freshness of spring....the lusty warmth and green growth of summer....the crisp colors of fall....and the peaceful stillness of winter white.

I feel fortunate live where I can enjoy them all.

The snow is over a two hour drive from me so I don't get to see it much, but I know what you mean. :)

I first saw snow in Vancouver about 15 years ago.

We were overnighting there, before flying to Seattle the next day.

I woke up to see my parents looking out the hotel window and telling me to come look.

I remember it being very grey out there... kind of like you get during a drizzling rain, and yet all over the cars and the hotel gardens, was a white layer.

I loved it :)

It is that image of snow that i love the most.

Only three weeks until the famous fabulous fall foliage begins sweeping across the rather puny mountains of the New England states. Beautiful views to be had from every vista and vantage point from end of September through end of October.

I have months of snow which can get tiring but even still that first day after it falls holds it's magic for me. Some might think you have it ideal....close enough to enjoy but not having to deal with the impact it has daily.
