I am currently reading Kushiel's Scion by Jacqueline Carey. The fourth book in the Kushiel series. I'll probably read Firestarter next before I go on to the next Kushiel book, as my daughter is wanting to try some King out... I never actually read Firestarter, so figured I'd check that out and see if I think it's ok for her to read. She just turned 14, and I started reading King at 13, so would be kind of hypocritical of me to not let her ... of course, if my parents knew what all was in a lot of those books, they probably wouldn't have let me read them :p

I have a pretty open communicative relationship with my daughter though.. I don't baby her, and she's pretty mature.. so I don't really mind if she reads stuff like that. I know she can handle it.
