I'd originally planned to get to know a few people via the boards and then chat privately; and perhaps find a few people to edit my stories.

Having now read some of the threads, I quite like the idea of posting a starter and seeing who picks it up.

Do you have any favourites that you would recommend me reading?

If spectacular wasn't the aim, then may I inquire what you were hoping the reaction would be? Besides, there were several other adjectives to go along with spectacular, intriguing was among them.
