One of santa's helpers, just turned 18, is assigned to work in the reindeer foaling shed. being naive (s)he asks a coworker how baby reindeer are made.

Later, (s)he asks another person(elf?) how human (elfin?) babies are made, and is told "Just like the reindeer do".

Next day (s)he watches reindeer mating, and is oddly aroused...

is the other person or elf a coworker? Santa? Mrs. Claus? A parent? A contemporary?
