Hello, I like unusual stuff so I'll give it a go. Just wanted to check, before I get started as it looks like it's fairly long (not a bad thing!) - is prior knowledge of 'The girl before' needed? I know nothing of that, so will it still make sense to me?

An eight page story. Good for you! But you have to expect people to be less likely to embrace an eight page story from an author they don't know than a shorter one. I recommend you put out a few shorter ones to build up a fan base before publishing your magnum opus.
