I'm originally from Georgia and yes , I have made love at Stone Mountain. Many years ago, but still remember it. It was the fourth of July, and I was there with my ex husband, on a blanket under the trees. I can remember biting my lip to keep from screaming out loud as the fireworks blasted above us. What a night that was.. *Sigh*

Close your eyes................. think of the carving on the face of the mountain..........remember the geography of the mountain. Can you see the out cropping of pines just a hundred yards to the right of it? I used to free climb the mountain................under threat of capture.......................

did a dying cockroach up there at 21,............... made love in those pines at 22..................ahhhhhhhhhh, to be that young and adventurous again.................

even made love at a Jackson Brown concert at Peidmont park that same year.................. 1986...............that was intense! We were under a blanket, there with friends................JB was singing "Running on empty"....................I felt that way as the night faded away..............................................

I can picture exactly where you are talking about. What a wonderful place that is. More Georgia memories, Road Atlanta Concert, 1980...Jefferson Starship, Ted Nugent who came swinging out on a vine in tarzan underwear, singing Cat Scratch Fever, lol. My ex (not married then) punching out a guy behind me who groped me while I was standing on a cooler, lol. Too crowded to leave that night, so we spent the night in his car, in the back seat. That was the night he asked me to marry him.

Just another Damn Yankee here. But I have been in Georgia for 2 yrs this month. I love it here!!!! I have never been to Stone Mountain though..not yet. I hear its just a big rock..LOL..which stopped my interest, but still curious, and would like to say I've been there once.

LOL.. I loved the concerts back then. One of the best I went to was Bob Seiger(sp), with a guy I had such a crush on! I had looked forward to this date for weeks and I ended up partaking of too much smoke(heh) and he ended up carrying me out of the concert hall,lol. Six Flaggs is another great place to go. You can scream on the roller coasters and people think it's because of the ride, heh. Couldn't be that fingers can roam while riding, and who cares that people point at you while you're riding over Six Flaggs in the bucket seat, lol. Woowwwwwww...

I was very shy as well, so we could have passed each other and neither one of us said a word.. If I could go back, I would have so much fun! Just trying to make up for it now in my old age

Have you made it to White Water Adventures yet? That is a great place as well! So many water slides, and I love the huge pool that has the ocean like waves. I am taking Dragon to Atlanta in August, and we are gonna hit all these places. I love Atlanta!
