We could all use a good laugh, couldn't we? This is a group thread: post any parody songs or poems that you find amusing or put your thinking caps on and write a send-up of one or your most or least favorite. It if is an obscure reference (less than famous or stuck in the heads of the public like elevator music), please include the excerpt of the piece that you are heckling. Please comment by PMs to the poster or include comments on previous ones with a parody post of your own (yes, you may heckle the hecklers!:D). My submission is a song I wrote for a band in the bar where I worked as a teenager, and it is set to the Guns and Roses version of Dylan's "Knocking on Heaven's Door":

The Last Call Song

Bartender, take these keys from me
I can't use them anymore
Man there's just too much gravity
ANd I can't find the exit door

Knock, knock, knockn on the exit door
I can't remember what the handle's for
Knock, knock, knockn on the exit door
Atleast I think that's the exit door

Then I fall face-first in the street
Guess I found the right damn door
Now I'm walkin', but I can't see
And I got no clue what I'm headed for

Knock, knock, knockn on evry door
Please man-I can't go home anymore
Knock, knock, knockn on evry damn door
Atlast I'm knockn at 104....

If I go home now, she'll kill me--
I holler into the neighbor's door
Then the frying pan is hitting me
Fuck--it's 103, not 104--

Knock, knock, knockn on my own door
Guess I was knockn on my own door
Now my old lady's killn me
Guess I deserve it for knockn on my own door....

Atleast I'm goin where there aint no doors....

this is very clever, and very funny :D

hopefully I'll get to it sometime soon, but this thread looks most giggle-worthy!
