I often eat microwave dinners - because they're fast and easy. While I appreciate their convenience, and even their flavor, I can't believe that there is such a difference between the picture on the box and the entree that comes out of the microwave. Aren't there some sort of false advertising laws that might apply here?

Here are a few recent examples from Laurel's kitchen...

Ewwwww just like total yuck! :(
I can send you some homemade dinners.
Call me! I will cook and ship
them to you anytime.
Or send me the fare and I will be there
to cook for you both!
I love cats too. :D

Those eyes on "the acual dinner" look like snails - yummy!,
Gastropods United
That's the gourmet one, especially as desset.

The actual dinner's looked like some kind of radioactive experiment! The brown eyes looking at me would make me wonder if i should kill it or or take it outside and set it free.
LOL
Mabe you should think about geting a new microwave?
:(

Tweet I tell you to eat real fucking food.

Not fuck real food and then eat it

Like all good heart attack recover-ers,

I hate words like that, where does the ers go? At the end right, then it looks stupid.

I have to look at the side panel and the list of crap. Calories, colesterol, FAT. Have you ever looked at the fat content of those frozen foods? Might as well eat lard. It isn't fair. Hell you can go to Burger King and eat better, fat content wise.

hmmm... being a student I can be considered an expert on microwave food, although i have to say i usually only eat 1-2 microwave meals per month. Last time i checked on my Chicken Tikka box how much fat is contained (I was bored waiting for the microwave to finish, rather than counting calories) I almost fainted: 55g fat per serving. Well, apart from that 20min in the microwave just takes too long for me. I just love fresh pasta and stir-in sauce :D

Halo :rose:

If I don't recognize it, I don't eat it.

It looks like Catwoman is eating cat food.

Yep, you can get some really good stir in sauces now. Pretty much instant meal.

I do love my tesco lasagne for 1. 1 minute in the microwave and it's done. Good sauces too. Great for the first night that you can't be bothered to cook.

Damn Straight!

Living in Japan I use the tried and true "point at the picture" method of ordering a meal. I cant tell you how many times I've pointed at what looks like a nice ham sandwhich and recieved a few slices of raw pig on a slab of roasted rice!

I must tell you this story...quickly: My wife and I were eating in a tiny place with beautiful tanks full of exotic fish everywhere. We ordered the "special", the waiter smiled and got a net. He then retreived the most gruesome looking fish I have ever seen and proceeded to slice and dice in front of us. We were served a slab of flesh from this fish, while it was still breathing squirming on the cutting board! Im all into freshness but...come on! My wife had a near fit, we paid the bill and had good ole Mc D's after.......
(Not related but I hope amusing)
:p
