Just Curious

Yeah, that's the vibe I was getting.

One is a quite competant writer, but his or her imagination could go a bit more Zen.

The other one is an exceptional writer.

I just hope they are not fucking married to each other. LOL

I've quit trying to understand the voting here. All I can say is, that if these are the top two stories for November, it is an honor to be excluded. And that ain't just sour grapes.

I have to agree. One story was really wonderful; the other I couldn't make it through the first three paragraphs. But like the good dr. M said, I've given up trying to figure out the voting methods at any site, not just here.

okay, i'll bite

Since none of us have indicated which author we prefered, I will dive in.

Ronde's structure and style impressed me. The pacing at points dragged, but the style was consistent and drew me into the coming of age of a small town college student. Yes, the older divorcee outcast befriending the quiet smart boy has been done to death, but I really liked this story. The dignity and respect were affirming.

Wundermutt's story was true to it's narrator. The pace was quick and hard. While the various activities, positions and places I am sure fulfill most heterosexual males' teenage lustings, it was just that, a string of couplings and regroupings. Technical errors were annoying to me, but did not destroy the piece.

Mind you, I have posted and will continue to post stroke stories, but I never expect them to 'win' anything... except some positive feedback as to how hot, hard or wet they caused a reader to become. I do try to edit carefully for usage and spelling.

So, I guess that what I'm trying to say is that perhaps dr m is correct in pursuing the development of the 'critics' choice' award. It's the difference between fucking fine fiction and fine fucking fiction. I never use that word! ;)
