I don't understand the "ignore" feature...I suppose when there's someone I want to ignore I'll learn really fast. I just started coming here, hope I'm not being too obvious.

I don't use the ignore feature as I'm more than capable of choosing for myself which threads and posts I want to read. If and when I do come across something I don't like I have the ability to move on without commenting unnecessarily. When I do make unnecessary comments (like this one!) then I can deal with the consequences.

I don't think I will use the ignore feature.... it is a nasty way to shut someone off. All you have to do is not read the post or thread from the person that you don't like, that's what I do.

Given certain events and complaints that have arisen re certain posters, then I guess the ignore feature was created to give people the option to ignore rather than to reply (and thus encourage and incite). I'm not in the group of people who this feature was created for (for reasons specified above).
