They haven’t worked the entire time I have been posting here. They really should fix them.

If you look at the website source file the forum is based on vBulletin 3.6.11 which was released in August 2008

which is of kind of a major concern for security

PHP 4.4.9 Released August 7 2008

It is likely the php that this site sits on has been updated beyond the abilities of vBulletin 3.6.11 - but there is a limit to updating the php before the website falls over completely, which means the php version underneath this website is woefully out of date.

I strongly recommend not using a signup email address and password combination that is used anywhere else.

To be honest I view it astounding the website has not been compromised already.

Interesting...because just today, my browser prompted me that the site security certificate was expired. In order to get in, I had to override the prompt. Perhaps just coincidence, but after just a minute or so on the Forums page I got an Adobe Flash Player update notice. I backed out, as I never click on update prompts like that. I checked my applications and found that my memory was correct...I don't have Flash Player installed.

And just another thing; when I hovered over the link in the OP, it was to an off Lit site...I didn't click on it.

I have never seen a https with Lit - Having just done a search I see Google does have listings for https - I was totally unaware. There has never been an auto switch over from http to https.

Non-responsive websites are all but invisible in search returns for mobile devices now. There have been responsive vBulletin themes out since at least 2013.

Flash should have nothing to do with Lit forum though. As far as I am aware there has never been any Adobe Flash content or it even being ever possible.

I look into the tech board and see mention of a patch here and there but it is still a security disaster waiting to happen.

My advice would be to make sure profile associated email address is totally a throw away one.
