Isn't it amazing how we, on the internet, can influence the way others on the internet perceive current events? Isn't it amazing how one person posting on a message board such as this can pull the attention of hundreds of people in one instant to speak one simple message?

We go about our humdrum lives constantly thinking we can't make a difference, we aren't important enough... It's all lies we've been told over and over again because we are each comparing ourselves to famous women and men. We forget that they too were once meek and unknown. We are like flies that have lived in a jar since birth; we don't realize when a way out has been made available because we are made to believe one will never exist.

But here we all; all equals with even the greatest of superstars... on the internet.

Very true....you never know how someone will comprehend what you say. Choose your words wisely.

Black Bird just had one of those moments....when the person having it looks fondly into space and the people around him must nod there heads patronizingly....*nods*

The most powerful weapon we posess as mankind is the written word. You can build something with it or you can tear something down. The choice is yours.:)

Are you sure patronizingly is the word you were looking for? And if so, wouldn't it be shaking their heads instead of nodding?

Contrary wise...
Conversations kill.

And no, BB..people are patronizing to children all the time. They nod and pretend the child makes sense when in fact the adult knows the kid has no idea what he is talking about.

But...to say in general terms that we the people are patronizing you is not a truism in any way, shape or form.

Sometimes people say they are patronizing you when in fact, they simply do not understand you.

Maybe one should just say that instead of making a blanket statement supposing to know what everybody else is thinking.

The problem is, if you just nod at me, do I know you understand me and we can have a conversation or are you just being patronizing?

Like I said, conversations kill.

So... you're suggesting we all stop talking and involve ourselves in a massive orgy. Good idea. :D
