Just a Thanks to Laurel, and all That She Does

I'm returning only to give thanks to Laurel, and then I'll go away again. Thanks, Laurel, for all that you do. You more than deserve our praise.

There are no software 'bots, as have been hinted at, but rather she reads the stories, if briskly. Kitty Mama makes this site the success that it is. She'll counter this and tell you the readers and writers are the source of the success of Lit, but I'll disagree. It all begins with management, as it sets the tone.

I might be a pain, and others might agree. I'll stay away from the forums but could NOT-NOT post this.

Discourse makes life more interesting and hammers out new avenues of thinking and understanding. Discourse is not easy or comfortable.

If you're staying away from the forum because people don't like your opinions, phooey on them. You be who you are and they can suck lemons if they don't like it. I don't like some things you have to say, but I'll be one of the first hollaring foul if you couldn't say them. If you're staying away because for yourself, enjoy your time in excellent health.

Thanks KM, but SR is quite correct in scolding me. This is not the place for politics (finger pointing at me) or religion.

I think it best I stay away. Besides, I no longer wake up in the morning with the dreadful feeling that I have screwed up once again.

Laurel is very approachable and extremely nice. Show her respect and she'll do so in kind. Kitty Mama will go out of her way to do what she can to assist you.

I limit myself to this thread since I think it impolite to start something and then simply walk away. Doing that would place me on the same level as an arsonist, I think. As for how long I can remain away from the others is yet to be determined.

Yes, Lit is an addiction, one of a couple in my case. I am also addicted to wine, women, and song, lol. But if you can't enjoy living then why do so at all? Hey, that rhymes <patting self on back at this completely coincidental occurrence>

Getting off subject, I can clearly see my writing has improved over the five or six years that I've been publishing here. I'm especially proud of the next installment of Zombies: A Love Story Ch. 07, in case you might want to take a look -- just finished, will be posted soon.

Anyway, just wanted to chime in. Okay, despite the temptation, going away now without looking elsewhere, I promise...
