Judge Chutkan serves notice to Trump

I hadn't thought that there was anything the judge really could do about Trump's antics, seeing as how it's quite unlikely she'd throw him in the slammer, but telling him it will move up his trial date is, I think, a brilliant move.

The thread starter is a Deplorable spreadsheet alt creator, making seemingly liberal-favorable posts for deceptive purposes. Don't get drawn in. šŸ˜‰
And why didn't this make the "Daily Politics" thread for today?

could've bumped it back up. what a waste of content, yikes. :ROFLMAO:

And quoted RawStory which is a left-leaning aggregator site that always includes a link to the original source. Should have used that link rather than RS.

I notice that Trump is returning serve and putting some top-spin on it...

Meanwhile, the Biden Administration is appointing the Biden Administration to investigate the Biden Administration.

Any bets on the outcome?

The prosecution has 11.2 million pages of findings to present. I'm buying stock in Orville Redenbacher.

Lol, we'll see how Trump likes litigation by overwhelming volume, his stock method of intimidating his opponents over the years. It was easy enough when he was the business mogul with a Moscow bank account, not so easy now he's against the state.

Oooh, Mister Trump got the ultimate indignity: prior to seeing classified data being used against him in court, he must surrender his cell phone, seeing that he has little to no impulse control and the court cannot be sure he would not be compelled to take a picture of classified evidence.

Not unlike a five year old.

Isn't it about time the person who is in charge of the ongoing investigation into sexual assaults involving Matt Gaetz actually filed something against him?

I know the courts are bogged down with other stuff but there must be space somewhere.

They just reopened the investigation, there might have been stuff on Venmo boy in those bathroom boxes after all.

The Cheeto kept what he did for a reason, and it wasnā€™t sentimental value.

trump making S.C Jack Smith's job easier, being led along by Welker with just enough ego-boosting to loosen his tongue

In a clip shown by Psaki, Welker asked, "The most senior lawyers in your own administration and in your campaign told you that after you lost more than 60 legal challenges that it was over Why did you ignore them and decide to listen to a new outside group of attorneys?ā€

After Trump admitted he "didn't respect them," he later added, "You know who I listen to? Myself. I saw what happened, I watched that election, and I thought the election was over at 10 oā€™clock in the evening. My instincts are a big part of it. Thatā€™s been the thing thatā€™s gotten me to where I am -- my instincts."

Welker pressed, "Just to be clear, were you listening to your lawyersā€™ advice, or were you listening to your own instincts?ā€ to which the former president replied, "Oh, sure. It was my decision. I listened to some people. Some people said that."

I watched that election, and I thought the election was over at 10 oā€™clock in the evening.
Dude obviously has never watched any other US election.

Trump said he didn't listen to White House and campaign attorneys "because I didn't respect them as lawyers," referring to them as "RINOs," or Republicans in name only.
"But I did respect others. I respected many others that said the election was rigged," Trump said.

When asked if he was listening to outside attorneys because "they were telling you what you wanted to hear," Trump said, "I listen to myself."

S.C Jack Smith requests trump declares if he's using 'advice of counsel' defense, in order to prevent trial delays

"To prevent disruption of the pretrial schedule and delay of the trial, the Court should exercise its inherent authority to require the defendant to provide notice in court of his intent to assert such a defense by the date exhibit lists are due, December 18, 2023," the motion stated.
In a motion filed on Tuesday, Smith noted that Trump has publicly suggested he would rely on "an advice-of-counsel defense," which would entitle the prosecution to additional discovery and could delay the trial.
