If you don't recognize his name, he is the judge who believes three months in jail is the proper punishment for rape. If you disagree with this and live in that county, you can join the effort to give him the boot. Even if you don't live there, you can support the effort in other ways.

George --

Our campaign to recall Judge Persky is rolling full steam ahead, but that means we are in desperate need of more resources.

We need to raise $10,000 by July 31st to ensure we have the funds to continue training volunteers and collect the 90,000 signatures needed to qualify the recall election. Can you chip in today?

Early this month, we submitted our petition to recall Judge Persky and are awaiting approval from the county. Once the petition is approved, we can begin collecting signatures -- a complicated and expensive process.

We held our first volunteer training last week and have two more planned in August so our volunteers are ready to hit the streets when the petition is approved. We need your help to ensure we have the resources to train each volunteer on how to organize signature gathering events in their communities and the proper procedure for signature gathering.

Can you help us reach our $10,000 goal by contributing $10, $25, $50 or more before July 31st? Each contribution helps us train another volunteer and brings us one step closer to recalling Judge Persky.

Thank you,
Michele Dauber

Rape is totally cool, especially if it's a Muslim doing the raping.

It's the damn dope smokers that are the real problem.

In this case, the man who did the raping probably isn't a Muslim. He is a member of the Stanford U. swimming team, which is not much of a Muslim thing. He was sentenced to six months in jail and released in three. This is CA - Santa Clara County - and, if he had been a Muslim, his victim probably would have been charged with a hate crime for making him go to the trouble of raping her.

Assuming enough signatures get collected to qualify the recall measure for the ballot, it will probably be decided in Nov. Voters who live in Santa Clara County, as I do, can go to the pols then and, as I intend to do, vote to boot the judge off the bench. I'm looking forward to helping do it, just as I looked forward to helping to give Rose Bird the boot . :D
