He was the longest-running voice actor for that role; the first one lasted two episodes, then was hit and killed by someone running a red light.

Joss's readings were excellent.

King of the Hill returns soon, missing four voice actors of multiple, principal characters in the series. And none of those actors made 70 age-wise.

According to a recent video he posted, he was able to record vocal work for 4 of the new episodes before his death.

Johnny Hardwick was reportedly able to record 2 new shows before he died suddenly.

So, similar to what's seen in the examples above, we're likely to get the original Dale & John Redcorn in multiple episodes. Still tragic, but we'll take them.
