I've kinda taken a liking to this toy....I just got a new toy last week....but it got broke with the first use so, until there is time to get a replacement, I only have the two for now.

No they don't. My personal "toy" is nearly 53YO and still works just fine. And I think it has a softer coating than yours.

You may borrow it anytime you wish.
