This past week the FBI/DEA staged a joint operation on Wed. - Thur. AM to take out the high level drug distributors in the State. An operation that has been damn near a year in the making. This all took place in the upper Rio Grande valley area. Now that it's hit the press I can talk about it a little.

The DEA had 26 targets on their list and brought in agents from adjoining sectors to augment the locals, 200 agents total.

The FBI brought in 700 agents to augment the 100 already in place. They had 24 targets.

There were approx. 100 State police along with a few local police involved.

There was a presser held on Fri. concerning the op. and the only speakers were the FBI and one guy from the State. The FBI is obviously trying to do something about their image. Makes them sorta like the Navy SEALS of the law enforcement community.

My thoughts are with a ratio of 32:1 on the FBI target list it's a wonder they weren't stepping on each others dick.

So there is no way to verify what you claim is so, that you had insider knowledge of the action before hand. I'm sorry but your credibility here is close, no let me rephrase, IS zero. Without some sort of proof I'm afraid I'll have to put this one in the "Bullshit" column. Come to think of it, I'm rather doubtful it happened at all. Many here do. Many also rely on pissing in each others boot. It is rather difficult though to stay centered, polite and civilized when so many are spewing unverifiable, unsubstantiated tripe and claiming it to be fact. Very difficult indeed.
