Sounds like you need a new computer rather than a webcam.

Well it died a few months ago. I sent it to a friend to be fixed and they, unknowingly to me, put fake OS on it. So microsoft found out and sent me a friendly virus! On top of that alot of my hardware needed updating because he'd upgraded without asking. Which is how i ended up with a useless webcam - need a new video card to support the graphics on new OS. Grrr!

Sounds almost exactly like my computer. Unable to download any updates or download pretty much anything because nothing is supported. Very frustrating so I know your pain. I can't even use an ipod on my computer the way it is right now.
