My youngest graduated high school this past weekend. Now I guess I get to be one of the old guys who doesn't have to go to football and soccer games, just goes for the fun of it. No more sending money for school lunches or parent/teacher conferences.

Anyone else a proud new member of the club? Or maybe a bit sad at being a new member?

the Club

will join this friday....youngest graduates high school. the nice thing about college is they just want your money, not really interested in parental participation. I will miss the soccer and lacrosse games though, might attend a couple just for the fun of it.

My only daughter is in college now, although she is home for the summer. It has taken me a very long time to adjust to being an emptynester.

Despite all this, it still does not make me old.

nor a guy.

June 2nd Spawn graduates from prep school. No more tuition WITHOUT it being tax deductable!!!

Well so far it isn't an empty nest. He is looking for a place to move to to get the hell away from Mom-n-Dad. lol. Nice to know I'm not the only one here.

My oldest grandchild will be graduating in a few years.

A staunch member of the club already, here. My condolences to you. :rose:

Not quite but just the other day we were the young wild kids at hunting camp.
Now all the old guys are gone and we are bringing are kids down.
How the hell did that happen.

Nope just send you entire paycheck and the deed to your house to the college Jr is going too. That should cover the first semester.

I really got lucky there- he said he doesn't know what he wants to go to college for and isn't about to spend a shit load of money just to say he is going to college. Then his part-time employer asked if he wanted to be full time.
