Hi John and all.... I'm sorry and sad I have been away for so long. I felt kinda lost for a little bit but realize that I enjoy being here.

John, I know you have a lot on your plate with work and school. It's great to read your updates. You may be overwhelmed at times but your excitement comes though in your words.

Rhapsody seems to be enjoying herself. Waving hello if she stops by.

Dutchrain, your messages always put a smile on my face.

I see Munky is MIA but I hope he is doing well. I love and miss his sense of humor.

Yellow_Rose, it's so nice to see you again. I thought maybe you had fallen into the Hudson never to found again, or got lost in all those forests nearby. I do hope you stick around a bit this time.

Sounds like a chilly one in your neck of the woods so I won't complain, but we've been cooler than normal lately too.

Very true. We were putting the comforter back on the bed last night and I smiled at how soft we've gotten. I did sleep well though.

John, I agree with Yellow rose, your 59° F would be 15°C and that is considered warm enough here to turn of the heating. We are down to 6°C during the day now, nights are a mere 1 to 2.

The 'do' we had on sunday was a great success, only two seats were free, all helpers turned up, the 'young worldly adults' (they meant it to mean they are interested in the world as a whole, and the Swiss dialect version does mean that more than the translation I could come up with) cooked a great meal; we made a plus (all donations) of a little over 600 franks which got donated to a project in Uganda today, and this morning we cleaned the room we could use for free if we would clean it.

I'm sorry about complaining about the weather, I guess it was just a symptom of my bad mood at the time. I just walked out of a test that I absolutely blew, but I got a good result on another test I took last week and my class presentation form 2 weeks ago was a complete success, so I'll take the good results and try and focus on them for a bit.

I'm through another Monday and didn't take too many lumps. I hope you all have a great rest of the week.

John, don't be to harsh with yourself. Blowing a test usually means nothing, or not very much if one has good results on all the others. It is 'only' a blow to ones self-esteem.

The pool is a good idea, and some jumping on the tramp an even better one!

It's hump day, woo hoo! Going to a meeting this morning, then one class. Think this afternoon will be spent in the library working on a research paper. Then I'm hoping to come home and after the sun goes down, getting into the jacuzzi.

Jacuzzi time sounds good.. cold today for me.. was running around with my toes in the lake last week.. and today it is overcast and chilly. Also first day back to work so...

I had a wonderful visit with sister, her hubby, and my new to me adopted nephew. Sister was upset that she couldn't take all of my vacation time off to spend with me but I assured her it worked better with her at work most days so I could spend my mornings with my old friends and wandering down memory lane by myself then meet up with her for sister and family time.

Vegas was fun, met a new Lit friend while I was there and nephew won the championship in his racing series. Got to see my niece's new home, so proud of her to buy it all on her own at 27. Dinner out a lot and family almost to the point of overload with nephew and his wife with her family up from San Antonio!

And was extremely overjoyed to sleep in my own bed last night..

oh yeah.. Nephew's bed was comfortable but the pillows were to hard and the bed sits high, like up to my hips high.. made getting this old body hard to get into it at bedtime
