John's Rustic Romper Room

Good morning everyone.

I had a wonderful chat with a friend last night which was followed by Mrs. J, being very very nice to me. Now, that's a Thursday I hope to repeat from time to time.

Finished up a couple of abstract graphite drawings during the day and have a test this morning, but it should be a god day.

Test went well. I scored 53/55 and am currently getting an A in the course. This is my 2D design class and was one of my big concerns going into the semester, so I'm very happy. I also got my grade on the wrapping paper project from a week ago and got an 86 on that. Considering how out of my element I was on that, I was thrilled.

Now onto the weekend. Some studying in the works and I'm going out to take some street shots tomorrow. I hope to get at least 100 and will be working on them as time allows. That's also for an assignment.

Anyone have anything interesting going on?

Glad school is going well for you! Tomorrow is my last day before vacation starts! Woohoo! A couple of days to relax then flying into Vegas and heading home. :D

Ok, so as we're eating breakfast this morning, Mrs. J asks if I would unplug and move the microwave. We don't use it often, and to be honest, it's been very good to us for well over 15 years. As I looked at it I asked what her plan was and she said she just wanted to clean it. I said, without even thinking mind you…..oh hell, let's just go get a new one.

Silly me, we're off to shop for a new microwave, but I think I've made my wife happy, so the day is off to a great start!

I hope all is well with everyone. :rose:

Good morning everyone.

I'm hoping it'll be a lazy Sunday around here. Veterans Day tomorrow, so looking okra nice celebration to attend, but other than that and probably some reading, there's no plans for this guy.

Good afternoon everyone :kiss::kiss:

My microwave is even older, it was my mom's for about six years before she gave it to me about 12 years ago. It still is doing fine ... I broke the plate about ten years ago, and got a new one, but I dearly hope the next time it will break I won't be able to get a new one for this model.

Lazy sunday here as well, dinner is in the oven, a pork roast with potatoes and white cabbage salad. That of course, is not in the oven, but the cabbage is chopped fine and marinading in 'Kernöl' http://www.google.com/url?sa=i&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&docid=AIt4vo-Xv0dJ5M&tbnid=c7AqpNSqk98fYM:&ved=&url=http%3A%2F%2Fhartlieb.at%2Fcms%2Fprodukte%2Fdas-kernoel%2F&ei=Hbl_UtDaF-G54ATk0IGgCg&psig=AFQjCNHJgDuxT5fI4mmnVGssc2OZ-33iZg&ust=1384188573428289

Dinner sounds good Dutchess. We're doing a roasted chicken, not sure what she's doing with it, but I'm sure it will tasty.

Think I'm going to go out for a bit and maybe do some street photos. At least see what I can find.

Hope life is great John and company.

Good morning everyone.

One of my favorite days of the year. Veterans Day. Although things have changed over the last few years and we see a lot more recognition and appreciation for the Vets, this is a special day, one that totally focuses on those that have served.

I hope you all get a chance today to smile at a Vet. Say thanks if you feel so inclined and just know that he or she will appreciate it more than you know. Just remember, at one time in their lives they wrote a blank check……a check that could have possibly cost them their lives, all to ensure and maintain the freedoms we all cherish.

:heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart:
