I don't know if you bring or buy. I bring lunch with me everyday. Saves money and its way better than what I could buy at work.

Another shooting!! This one on the Navy yard in Washington DC. I used to work there many moons ago so it hits a little close to home. It was long enough ago that I'm relatively sure no one I know was involved. Regardless, its so sad.

I remember playing golf there, winding our way around the War College on a small par 3 course. Many a good day.

I always wonder why people do that. Stress, mobbing, real or imagined fiends, real or imagined harm, I do know there are many reasons, some very real for those who do it, that bring them to use a gun. But my question is still: Why?

There are other ways to deal with stress, with mobbing, with fiends.

I agree completely. I just can't figure out why folks now seem to think its ok to deal with their issues by hurting others. Fundamentally that just seems weird. I know some will say it's societies fault, but I'm not so sure.

Dutchess, you had asked about my in class essay last week. I got it back finally and got 48/50. I don't think she'll give a perfect score so I was quite pleased. My first big essay is due next Monday, I'm thinking that will give me a better idea of where I'm at.

It is the state of our mental health help here...he was hearing voices and out of his mind. I think there is a common thread with most of the recent mass shootings...mentally unstable.

I think you're probably right, it's just sad that it's come to that. The fact that people even consider that as an option is frightening and a sad commentary for us as a whole.

Hi Thandi, I haven't heard from Munky, but I think it simply might be difficult to access the internet over there. Some places still don't have power, they said on the News.

Shootings: For whatever reason they kill other people when they feel they can't take anymore of what is going on around them: most of those who do/did such things did give warnings. Most told someone what they where planning, in RL or/and on the internet.

I think for most it is an option because they hear on the news about a shooting. And suddenly they see a possibility for themselves to end their problems. It might not be option the moment they hear about a shooting, but in the back of their minds it festers.

I have stayed home from work the past two days...just was not feeling it. Kinda holed up and didn't do much of anything the lady 2 days. Haven't even left the house in the past 2 days. Oh well. I have to go in tomorrow for sure.

One of our local teenagers has been fighting a rare form of cancer for two years, lost her battle last night, my friend had to put her beloved horse down today, and another friend lost a good friend in a motorcycle crash today. On top of that, I think because I was having a terribly, sad day, I sabotaged a good thing. I am sad.
