Lola, with luck I will get my grade next Monday on the essay. Today I have 6 drawings to have looked at in a design class. That has me worried!

Dutchess, it's always nice to share the pool with you.

My daughter is here for 2 1/2 more days. They're on thier own today and heading to Santa Barbara for some wine tasting and to visit a few micro breweries. Then golf one more time tomorrow morning. I love having her here, but hate when time begins slipping away and her leaving gets nearer.

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well.

Hi everyone

I know that feeling, John. Each time my parents or my sister visits I get it though. A week seems so long, so much time to talk and have fun. And then, after the third has passed, one is talking about things like: What would you like eat Friday? Do you want to go to shops Saturday morning before leaving?

I hope you weren't to inspired by the sights here in the pool and on the tramp, John, when you made your drawings.

Just recently got off the golf course after playing with my daughter and her husband again. It's been a great week although I feel as though I'm way behind on my school work. I'm not really, but it feels that way!

Still brutally hot. Over 100 again today. Going to go listen to a band outdoors this evening, then come home and sit in the jacuzzi a while.

Looks like everyone has found more interesting places to play around here, but I guess we haven't been very interesting lately. Maybe when things settle down here a bit I'll focus on finding some better entertainment.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I may not be around as often as usual, but I think of you all quite often and miss a number of you, probably more than I should

I made Zucchini-bread following a recipe a very kind litster gave me, I changed the pineapple for bacon though, and didn't put in sugar, we like salty food more than sweet. A bread is a bread, not a cake. With youngest I prepared almost three kilos (that is about seven pounds for the non-metric ones around here) of green beans (they are spotted, purple, but turn green when cooked) which are frozen by now.

It is wonderful your week has been so enjoyable! Is your daughter leaving sunday?
Over 100°F though ... Pfew! *wipes forehead* I am so glad that has passed here.

*grins* Isn't it funny how you are thinking you are behind with schoolwork?

Tried golfing just ruined a good walk. I get distracted on the coastal courses, too busy watching the Osprey and seals etc. The surf cashing on the rocks and if the sun is getting low on the horizon, I watch it set. One time we were out before sun raise and it was reflecting off the water. If anyone has seen an ocean sun raise you know what I mean. I heard someone calling our party and felt like telling him shut the hell up, it was distracting me. Played another horrible round but enjoyed the scenery. Maybe I get this golf thing down one day.

It has been a great but tiring week. Yes, Dutchess, she's leaving tomorrow afternoon. I'll be sad to see her leave, but knowing they had a great time makes it easier.

As for the school work, tomorrow afternoon in back on the grind. I'm sure with a couple days of focus I'll get back to a comfort zone

It's opening Sunday for the NFL so everyone is planning parties and setting their lineups for their fantasy teams and I would normally be over the moon, but have to send away my daughter so it's bittersweet. I have 3 teams to manage, and a boatload of homework to do so I'll be in and out of the pool all day.

The games will be on the tube, and the fridge is stocked. I may actually do some grilling for dinner, so feel free to stop by, bounce on the tramp, but know it'll be hot, float with me in the pool and have a great day everyone!!

The Buffalo Bills broke my heart! They got down, fought back to take a lead, and give the game away at the end. Those of us that root for them don't have big expectations, but especially against the Patriots, this one stings.

It's still opening weekend, so I'll hold onto that.

My daughter has gotten on the plane & is heading back to the East Coast. As always I'm very sad to see her go.

Hi sunbunny its great to see you this morning, especially on the tramp.

It's Monday and the routine is beginning all over again. I did get some work done last night and am going in early this morning to continue my catch up. Should be in good shape again by Wednesday, I hope.

I will do my best to touch base from time to time today, but with classes from 10 - 10, I wont have a lot of time. I hope you all have a great day and a better week!!
