No it doesn't. Very few would ever see the connection. Compartmentalization of competing desires. Few would see the connection between that and Nationalized Health Care, or Day Care for that matter. The facts are, Kerry went to 'Nam, fought in the war and was injured; Bush did none of these things. I lost a lot of respect for pubs when many of them wore Purple Heart bandiads at their convention in '04. As a veteran it made me sick to my stomach to see so many people who probably never served making fun of one of the most prestigious medals the military awards its members. I'll never forget that as long as I live.

Sooo, the filing of one document, at no cost, one that according to Kerry would put this all to bed, one that he promised Chris Mattews he'd file on public television three years ago, a document that still hasn't been filed.

The lawsuit threat is bullshit. The filing for the release of the military records is trivial and without excuse for not doing so.

However, I did serve in the Army and know that Kerry's 1971 testimony to Congress was a bunch of baloney for which he never apologized.

The Senator not wanting to get into a legal battle and the Senator admitting anything are two separate things.

I for one find it ironic that on the one hand, we had a guy running for president that actually set foot in combat in Vietnam, versus a guy who got connections so he could be in the ANG courtesy of daddy, paired with a guy who had at least five deferments and was quoted as "I had other priorities during that time".

And now those two gentlemen (used loosely) are some of the biggest hawks, and are sending my brothers and sisters to die overseas for their own twisted policy goals.

So they're not willing to bleed when its their turn, but they'll send other people to do their bleeding for them.
