John Bolton out

and trump says he asked for his resignation... bolton tweeted that he offered his resignation and trump said they'd talk about it in the morning

He disagreed with Trump’s moronic Taliban peace plan.

lol. godzilla is fighting mothra and we all win.

So did Trump do the right thing in dismissing Bolton?

Well, the US is slightly less likely to get into a disastrous war in the next few months. Bolton never saw a country he didn't want to send other people's kids to die in.

Of course, only a complete cretin would have hired him in the first place.

I think it's hilarious the way OrangeBoi ramrods these 'only the best' extremists through confirmation only to discard them at will.

Trump hired Bolton because he has a cot in the Fox News green room. But Bolton is pro-war (it doesn't matter which war, he loves it), and Trump, for all his bluster, doesn't come across as someone eager to fight. That was going to be a problem eventually.

But a bigger problem is that Trump doesn't really want an NSA who provides advice; he wants a yes man. This is now three NSAs fired in less than three years. The traitor Flynn was a special case, but that's a lot of volatility in an important position.

no one should support themselves with yes men; you need to hear different opinions against which to weigh your own thoughts. only the weak surround themselves with yes men because it makes them look powerful by negating any voice to stand against them.

*shrugs* Add him to the 54 others on the list. Those who support the Donald will say it's just business as usual and means nothing. Those who don't will highlight the fact that no other administration in the history of our country has cycled through so many top aids in so short a time. It is business as usual, if you have an unstable megalomaniac running things.

Sounds like grounds for Mikey (I be afeard a'wimmin folk) to 25 the sumbeach, no?

I'm hoping that Trump tries to fire Pence for disagreeing with him too (Trump, I'm sure, has no idea he can't do that) and for this to be enough for Pence to pull the 25th grenade to resounding cheers.

Except it's really not a straight analogy, and it avoided a direct answer.

True, but he was able to use the word "apropos" in a sentence. That ought to be worth something right?

How about if we let him have one of Lit's cookies as a reward?

Your vocabulary isn't robust enough to be able to do the same? I am so sorry about that. I truly am.
