A Wednesday poll reveals registered independents are driving down President Joe Biden’s approval ratings with concerns over the president’s handling of inflation, immigration, and the Chinese coronavirus.

The poll by Morning Consult/Politico warns “Biden’s general reputation among unaffiliated voters” is “exposing an early problem for his party to remedy with 14 months to go until the midterm elections.”

Among registered independents, 44 percent of independent voters approve of Biden and 49 percent disapprove. His net approval “has dropped 18 percentage points among unaffiliated voters” since April.

The Monday poll also revealed 47 percent of Americans believe the nation is on the wrong track, compared to 39 percent who believed so in June. Even worse, the survey suggested 49 percent believe the Biden inflation ridden economy is on the wrong track, increasing from 42 percent in June.

There are "independents" of the left, right and center (in addition to those who are simply politically indifferent and don't vote). Which of those are turning against Biden?

That is completely delusional.

I realize you're a bit slow, but try to keep up.

The CDC just announced, the CDC, they were extending the eviction moratorium. The CDC!!

Who gave the fucking CDC the power to do ANYTHING!!!!!!

Nobody elected the CDC. They have NO POWERS OR AUTHORITY for extending the moratorium!!

THIS IS YOUR ASSHOLE BIDEN COMPLETELY DISREGARDING HIS DUTIES!!!

HE'S UNFIT TO LEAD A COUNTRY!!

Doubts Surround Legality of New Temporary Eviction Ban

President Joe Biden may have averted a flood of evictions and solved a growing political problem when his administration reinstated a temporary ban on evictions because of the COVID-19 crisis. But he left his lawyers with legal arguments that even he acknowledges might not stand up in court.

The new eviction moratorium announced Tuesday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention could run into opposition at the Supreme Court, where one justice in late June warned the administration not to act further without explicit congressional approval.

Some have if he's down 18 points. You need to win independents to win the presidency.

He has not given the CDC "power over the Supreme Court." And his Admin was going to extend the eviction moratorium through some agency or other anyway.

Are you dense???

See post #7

Told by the Supreme Court " act further without explicit congressional approval."

He did not then, and does not now have congressional approval. Ergo he violated the Supreme Court.

In my experience, most independents are really Republicans. They just think not being an official member of the party proves they see everything with a clear-eyed, nonpartisan view, but they're mostly just fooling themselves.
