Right now I am an Account Manager -- what I do all day is resolve complaints with Regulatory agencies, and customers of a certain Long Distance company. Sure I get $10.50 an hour... but it's getting old... I need change... (for the soda machine) I am going to relocate to the Left Coast.. as I have been offered the position of Office Manager.

Spanking would be better than being shot.

I guess I've gotten defensive over the years- it is popular to complain about the idiots that run a company and how they get paid too much when the people "actually doing the work" earn so much less. But it's just as popular for management level people to make cracks about the lazy unmotivated employees they have to supervise (those $8/hr clerks.) Neither are healthy attitudes.

Store Manager of the biggest store in my company.

It's a new job, I start after the holidays.

In transition-
I was making (I think I have almost anyone beat here on taking-it-dry salary wise) a whopping $6 an hour as the *gasp* Head Early Preschool Teacher for my daycare center. I just quit because I depise the gossip and such that goes along with working with 9 other women in a small building. SO now I landed a job I start Jan 2 as a VERY high priced private nanny.

Store Controls Coordinator, which means I basically do all the stuff no one else can or wants to do. It pays fairly well & I don't have to be out on the sales floor as much as when I was a department coordinator. I am home on lunch, I will be working all weekend.

Soldier for Uncle Sam...salary rounds out to about $14/hr. That is when I'm not pulling 24's and away from home.
