Jesus Death question for all

Alright UncleBill I will agree with that, being that he did teach himself and his father being higher than Ceaser. But he always taught to respect earthly authority in all things except if it happened to conflict with the scriptures. Plus He taught to give the governement waht was rightfully theres. "Render unto ceasasr what is ceasers". he never made any demands or requests of the people to over rule the government. So how was that a threat equvilent of death? If I was to do something of the same sort of thing, caliming to be god and got a bunch of followers the Canadian Prime Minister wouldn't Crucify me or have me put to death. at the most they would just watch what was happening to make sure I wasn't jonesing my followers or my self. at the worst they would jail me and give me a slap on the wrist sentence.
The fact that he declared that some things were not Caesar's was tantamount to treason. There was no one superior to Caesar.

The Canadian Prime Minister is an elected official, a Prime Minister. Caesar was an Emperor or Dictator. There's a tad bit of difference in the power and authority invested between the two positions.

Uncle Bill I will try to go at this as logically as i can from a bobtoads point of view:

ok for a moment now I am Ceasar the great roman dictator. alomg comes this jesus dude that claims that there is a "god" that is higher than me. this jesus dude are trying to teach the people to worship this god dude. the jesus dude isnt being violent and he isnt leading any violent attacks on me. the only public anger I haver ever heard him display was in the synahouges and them jews arnt giving me my full share anyways. mean while this jeus dudes followers are growing in number.

I have a choice to make now do i kill him or let him live.

If I kill him his followeres will take him to be a marytr {which in essence from a secualr view point he became} and risk the growing numbers of people that think that I am not the highest being on the planet the universe, t grow even further.

or I can let him live jail him, put him away some where and let the crowd response to this jesus dudes teachings die down and out quietly and peacefullly and resume my role as ruler of the universe.

personally i would of choose the secound route of silenceing him with out making it public.

but as a christian i know that jesus knew what was going to happen and why it was going to happen , I just like studying the seculare pagan sides of my christian heritage.

On a side note even non religious Romans acknowledged that Jesus did not deserve this punishment. Pontious Pilote, even in secular writings is found that he wased his hands of the Jesus incident cause he could find no wrong in Jesus worth death.

Pretty much craven bootlicking after the fact. I think Kurt Waldheim was heavily influenced by Pilates' contrition.

But back to the original question, Jesus died because we all die. The argument is why so early and in that manner. Well, not everybody believed he was so special but he was a pain in the rear to the politicos and in those days not to be tolerated.

It is always interesting to read in other texts the descriptions of other religion's icons. For example, in several early translations of Hebrew text, Jesus' father is identified as a Roman Soldier named Panther (not Biggus Dickus nor Naughtius Maximus for you Pythonheads out there). Similar hard feelings revolve around Mohammed who was often described as a thief, murderer, business failure, etc. It is not merely a matter of exalting your guy, ya gotta tear down the opposition.

Hopefully, y'all understand the fraud of the Shroud of Turin. There were at least 7 different shrouds being claimed at different church sites in the period before and during the Crusades and the one at Turin was supported by the best army. Carbon Dating showed at most an antiquity of 1200 AD. The story of the grain pollen now being trumpeted is the latest ruse and only surfaced after the STURP project kicked the Shroud's ass. Religious icons leading armies and providing invincibility was a good yarn for a lot of years (remember Raiders of the Lost Ark?) and the shroud notion is the residue of that effort.

dead or died.?????? i think what we are talking about here
is his mortal body. right? and no i do not want to get into
a hassle trying to explain jesus/holy spirt/the comforter/
the word/ect.ect.ect.
the players it the drama of jesus death had little choice,
if any; the timing was very very precise.

the whole thing blows my mind. he came down on a mission and did it. he did not have to..he had a choice.he could
have put a stop to it right up until the very end by just
saying so.
