Jeremy Mardis shooting body cam video

WARNING: Graphic content and language Body cam video from a Marksville police officer on the scene of the Nov. 3, 2015, shooting that resulted in the death of 6-year-old Jeremy Mardis.

On the night of November 3, 2015, officers Derrick Stafford and Norris Greenhouse of the Marksville Marshal's Office attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Christopher Few. He had his son Jeremy Mardis with him in the front seat. After he and his fiancée Megan Dixon had an argument at a bar that evening, they had driven away in separate vehicles. She said that she saw him pass her, followed by a marked police car with two officers.[3]

After Greenhouse and Stafford activated the patrol car lights Few failed to pull over, resulting in a two-mile car chase.[4] At some point Greenhouse and Stafford called for backup, and two other officers responded.[5] They ended the chase on a dead-end street by the entrance to the Marksville State Historic Site at the corner of Martin Luther King Drive and Taensas Street.[3][6] One of the responding officers used his body camera to record the confrontation.[3]

Greenhouse and Stafford allegedly fired eighteen rounds of ammunition into Few's vehicle[7] at approximately 9:30 p.m.[8] Few was struck twice, in the head and chest,[7] despite having his hands in the air, according to police body-camera footage.[9] Mardis was hit by five bullets, also struck in the head and chest. He was initially thought to have died instantly, according to the coroner for Avoyelles Parish. However, it is now known that six-year-old Mardis was alive for an additional seven minutes while lying in his father's truck.[7]

Also I have a theory that stabbing or shooting once, twice, three times can be due to the stress of the situation but firing your gun or stabbing more than three times? You know what you're doing and you should be held accountable for your actions with stiff penalties.

Yep, can you say "Sammy Yatim"?

I know you can....

Can you say ex officer "James Forcillo"?

I know you can...6 years for attempted murder...( though that seemed like a stupid conviction, considering Yatim was technically dead after the 3 bullet).

Civilians are often taught to fire until empty because of the stress and likelihood that you're gonna miss more than once and it is common for a person to be shot multiple times and keep coming. It's also common to shoot 6 or 15 times and not hit a fucking thing even when you're trained.

Ya, maybe where you're from but civilized countries have gun control laws and people abide by them because it's the sane thing to do. Otherwise you end up with third world shit holes like the United States.

ETA: So essentially you train your civilians to shoot wildly, in all directions, at anything to make sure one bullet hits their intended target. Well isn't that special. :)
