Jenova (IC)

Hope was surprised at this, her eyes went wide but she enjoyed it, Hope closed her eyes as she returned the kiss, feeling the passionate kiss. Her hand still resting on his chest, when she looked into his eyes, her own flashed green for a moment then back to the normal color.

He coughed, slightly embarrassed by his show of emotion, but reassured by the way she'd submitted to him, the way she'd returned his kiss. Kiss broken, but faces still held close, he pulled the gloves from his hands and let his palms touch her next, gently, barely touching her skin as he stroked down her cheeks, her neck and to her shoulders.

With effort, he stopped his hands there, gripping her tightly.

"We have a long way to walk today, and many days before we reach the place you mentioned..."

She nodded not wanting to give this up, feeling his touch, his skin against hers, she smiled happily. "I want to make a trip to the store here, want to get me into something other then this damn dress" She laughed some and looked into his eyes, feeling his emotions she said nothing more not wanting to destroy this moment.

Supremely under control again, Sephiroth nodded and rolled from his side of the bed, standing in one graceful movement and pulling his gloves back on.

Face inscrutable again. Sheild up. It's way too soon to trust anyone, if you ever do again. Certainly she looks quiet, certainly she hasn't betrayed you yet. The visions are compelling enough.

She smiled looking at him and left the hotel and went across the street, she knew no one was here so she helped herself, finding a mixture of clothing, when she looked out the window she saw Sephiroth standing out there. She came out in her new clothing, black pair of pants with a chain around her waist. Short sleeve black shirt that exposed her stomach and a black jacket that had short sleeves and black boots. "There much better" She said with a grin.

What a change was made by a change of clothing! The way she stood, the angle she cocked her hips at - there was a sense of assertiveness that had been missing yesterday.

Flinging the sword over his shoulder Sephiroth tried to remember the quickest way to where he wanted to go - of course it was right through the centre of Midgard oldtown. The ruined part. The haunted part.

"Our journey today will be dangerous. I hope you're prepared for some exercise - we'll see how good you truly are, I suspect."

As he walked, Sephiroth pondered why he was so challenging towards the girl. Normally he stayed out of games like that - but then normally his companions were beneath him. She was unskilled, true, but last night he sensed the potential in her. As much as she could be a strong ally, if he nurtured that potential, she could also become a threat to him. Perhaps that was it.

Hope nodded "I wouldn't worry about little old me, no reason to" She grinned. Her hips moved back and forth as she walked, enjoying the sight of him, a smile on her face, she placed her hand on his shoulder and nodded happily. "Penny for your thoughts?" She said softly closing her eyes for a moment then as she smiled she opened them again, her green eyes there now almost like a cats eye.

Still a little concerned by his presentiment of betrayal from her, Sephiroth smiled a little tightly at her.

"Oh, my thoughts are worth far more than a penny, you know. You'll have to offer something more interesting if you want them."

Then, with a nod of his head in the proper direction, he led her away from the newtown and into the crumbling and shattered depths of old Midgard.

Hope smiled looking at him, unsure of what was going to happen, her eyes becoming more and more green as time passed. All she could think of is the future, what would happen to the two of them. She felt the cool air hit her hard in the face. Looking around with her eyes she heard the sound of the crows around, she grinned.

"Nice Weather"

Her voice, high and clear, penetrated into the dead centre of the abandoned city. The crows reacted by belling up and flapping away in various directions, each with their mocking cry "Aho! Aho! Aho!".

Sephiroth turned with a frown to warn her to be quieter, catching her in a moment where her eyes glittered green around a vertically slit pupil. He raised an eyebrow, but whirled quickly as a stone clattered to the ground from the direction of an alley.

Inside the shadows, some twisted forms heaved as they made their way towards the pair. Sephiroth whirled the Masamune sword up from its carrying position to the ready position on his shoulder, flexing his fingers in their leather gloves with an ominous creaking.

Hope looked at Sephiroth and heard the sound as well but she didn't stop beside Sephiroth side she extended her hand out and a lighting bolt fell from her hand and went towards the way, lighting the darkness as she stopped, she was ready for anything as she stood there closing her eyes she could feel something coming right at them, with a gesture of her hand her sword appeared and the dagger thrown at them was blocked from her sword.

"Foolish.."
