It's going all right. I've come through the last week unscathed, starting to think I can breathe a sigh of relief. Finally turned off the dripping faucets today. Are you all back home? Was everything okay?

I'll be in the cottage hot tub if anyone needs me :)
 
So over 4 days no power, its back. Have to throw out most of the food. Of course stores are cleaned out. Water is back on. Mom had a busted pipe. Able to get it capped and fixed less than 30 min. Had to move her entire room out. Im tired
 
I'm sorry for your situation Lolly. We've been quite used to most events associated with a cold snap, but its never fun if you lose your power. Perhaps, in the future ,you and your make up an emergency kit which should include most essentials, and even fuel if you can manage. Yes, its not free, but you might be Abe to help your neighbours, sometime int he future,,one never knows.. stay safe and lets hope you get back to that warmer weather real soon.

Dude, you have no clue as to what we have been through here or the details of why or what happened in this clusterfuck. May I suggest now is not the time to offer advice that people already know and wouldn't have helped the situation. I appreciate your good intentions, but ...no.

And p.s. This is Texas - we ALWAYS help our neighbors.

Nice crowd in here last night! I'm so ready to be able to be around friends again. The weather's so great here now, I think we'll have a patio party this evening....

I mean, a regular Buc-ee's is, at minimum, the size of a football field! What is a *super* going to be like?
