January 2016 Poll: USA President Prediction

Who do you think will win the 2016 Presidential election?

  • Total voters
    49
  • Poll closed .
No change. Furthermore I still don't believe Trump will be the nominee but that's starting to feel suspiciously like living in denial. The sort where when I turn out to be right I crow about how awesome I am while secretly thanking the Flying Spaghetti Monster for bailing me out.

I've enjoyed watching the Republican race- it's like a reality TV show.
Like you, I'm POSITIVE Trump won't win :)confused:) and if not him, who? Cruz? Rubio? It's like watching a train wreck in slow motion.

Where the Democratic debates are about issues (how boring), I keep expecting someone in the Republican debates to pull out a shiv. :D

Hillary died and doesn't know it. What most forget is, Trump is prolly more moderate than Hillary and will attract plenty of Sanders voters who hate the Clintons.

The GOP has no one to beat Trump with, and voters are seriously pissed with the GOP elites. I expect voters to stick Trump up the elites' asses. I mean, FOX badmouths Trump all the time, so what does that say? Lotsa unhappy nice people this time next year.

You can blame the moderators for that. They are the ones who ask the questions that result in personal attacks.

While this is partly true, the personal attacks are the result of the Clown Car candidates responding poorly to the ass hat questions. You don't see Bernie doing that.

They do bait, but the reality is that the Republicans, primarily Trump have been personally insulting each other and since it's at least partially on topic they would be remiss not to bring it up. IF you want to blame the moderators for something it's that the candidates mikes are not controlled by the mods. The buzzer should kill your mike and your mike should not come on until/unless you are called on.

The moderators are afraid of being boo'd if they turn off a mike.

Jeb! is just getting no kinda love, eh?

Talk about a family name not doing shit for ya...:D

I get the impression he doesn't really want to be there. Just a few years back this was his Christmas.

G.W. Bush: President Bush, would you please pass the mash potatoes?
W. Bush: Of course President Bush, First Ladies would you care for some wine?
Jeb: But I
G.W. Bush: Potatoes are for winners Governor.
Jeb: Fine I could be president if I wanted to!
*Laughter*

Still he's amongst the least insane of them.

Jeb sucks, no personality at all, comes off so rigid, I think. When he fumbled the question on Iraq, just at the beginning of all this, I totally lost any connection with the dude....

Liberals sure are arrogant if they honestly think that old hag has a snowball's chance in Phoenix of being elected. She has a better chance of being in prison next year for Benghazi.

That said, after she has to leave the race its still possible a Dem could win, in fact, Sanders is not outside the realm of possibility but I still put my money on Trump taking it. Remember Reagan was down 20 points vs Carter as this point in 1980, Trump is either ahead or a few points behind a hypothetical Democrat.

Zero chance either Cruz or any of the liberal Republicans could win. Media will destroy Cruz and conservatives and populists will not turn out for any of the liberal establishment Republicans. Its Trump or a Democrat (not the hag though).

The Donald and Bernie are something alike, although not in their policies. Either of them has a cadre of dedicated supporters, but I don't believe either has a wide appeal. If these are the two finalists, there will be a movement started to write in "None of the Above." This write in might get a plurality of the vote, but probably not. However, the powers that be in the parties might think more about whom they nominate in the future. I would vote for "None of the Above" although I am more likely to vote for somebody reasonable, such as the Libertarian candidate, who better reflects my values anyhow.

Exactly. If I had to hazard a guess Trump has wider appeal than Bernie when all the chips are down no matter what some polls today would have you believe. Most people right now only know Bernie as "Not Hillary." A write in for none of the above wouldn't make them think more about whom they nominate at all, especially not if Bernie and Trump are the finalists. If you can't decide between those two fairly extreme visions for America then you deserve Jeb vs Hillary for the rest of your days. Which aside from I think if that had/does turn out to be the election we should just elect the Bush and Clintons as co Leading families and quit wasting time on elections.

Former Federal Prosecutor Says Hillary Clinton Could Be Indicted in Next 60 Days
By Zachary Stieber, Epoch Times | January 8, 2016

A former U.S. attorney says Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton could soon face an indictment over her email scandal.

Joe DiGenova, a one-time Republican federal prosecutor originally appointed by President Ronald Reagan, told conservative radio host Laura Ingraham this week that the FBI’s pending investigation of Clinton’s email server seems to have reached a “critical mass.”

It was discovered last year that Clinton used a personal email for portions of her work as secretary of state from 2009 to 2013, and the resulting fallout has dogged Clinton ever since.

The FBI has been trying to figure out whether any classified intelligence was compromised through the atypical use of a personal email for government matters, but Clinton has denied any wrongdoing.

However, DiGenova said that the situation could soon change.

“They have reached a critical mass in their investigation of the secretary and all of her senior staff. And, it’s going to come to a head, I would suggest, in the next 60 days,” he told Ingraham.

“It’s going to be a very complex matter for the Department of Justice, but they’re not going to be able to walk away from it. They are now at over 1,200 classified emails. And, that’s just for the ones we know about from the State Department. That does not include the ones that the FBI is, in fact, recovering from her hard drives.”

DiGenova believes the FBI will personally interview Clinton sooner rather than later.

He added that the charges the FBI is allegedly compiling will “be so compelling” that Attorney General Loretta Lynch will need to agree. If she doesn’t?

“There will be a massive revolt inside the FBI, which she will not be able to survive as an attorney general. It will be like Watergate. It will be unbelievable,” he said.

“The evidence against the Clinton staff and the secretary is so overwhelming at this point that if, in fact, she chooses not to charge Hillary, they will never be able to charge another federal employee with the negligent handling of classified information.”

The comments came as it emerged Friday that Clinton in 2011 requested a document to be sent via email because the secure fax line wasn’t working.

Laura Ingraham likes to have on guests that say the (Democrats) sky is falling, hoping it will be so, but rarely is.

I think this is lots of wishful thinking.

Kind of like Democrats and Chris Christie's "Bridgegate".
