OOC: "Jamieson's" is a new establishment - nightclub and bar - right in the heart of the city. Within weeks of opening, it became one of the most popular gathering place amongst young professionals - thanks in part to the attractive barmen and barmaids hand picked by the owner. Everynight, Jamieson's would be buzzing with activity, and energy would fill the air, as people drank and danced the night away to the upbeat music - the evenings dripping with potential of what could be...

My character: Kel Layton - 5'11, atheletic, short scruffed up dark brown hair, striking blue eyes - 22yo Australian exchange student, working behind the bar for an extra bit of cash.

Anyone who feels like joining the thread, please do. :) Hopefully it'll just be a bit of light-hearted fun, nothin' too serious - so budding barmen, barmaids and patrons... post your profiles and come on in!

Kyra Landry

Tall, redheaded and very innocent, Kyra had landed this job because her father was a frequenter and knew the owner. She had blossomed into a ripe, mature 20-year-old, despite losing her mother at age 7.
Kyra was working this job just to scrape some extra college money together. She had worked hard to get into Yale, and was heading out in the summer.
She dated, but never seriously. Men were just 'movie dates' to her. She seemed cool and standoffish, but was really shy. Perhaps someone could break through that exterior, but...

9:49pm. I glanced away from the clock hanging over the bar and watched as the patrons continued to file in - men in their tailored Armani suits, and women in their tight designer dresses. Men with only one thing on their mind, and women who knew and didn't care. All in good fun I guess.

"Gin and tonic thanks." said the young lady leaning over the bar with a five-dollar note in hand.

"No worries cutie." I replied in my unmistakeable Australian accent, winking playfully at her. As the owner of the bar keeps telling us - "a little harmless flirting never hurt anyone."

I scooped up the bottle of gin and inverted it, the clear liquid flowing into the glass of ice I had in hand, the whole process completely automatic, completely thoughtless after months of practice. As I reached across for the tonic dispenser, I felt a soft supple breast brush across my back. I turned to see Kyra, with four drinks in her hands, struggling to squeeze through the limited space we had at the bar.

"Soft. Nice." I said kiddingly to Kyra, and turned my attention back to serving the drink.

Kyra

"what did you say?" I asked quickly. I had to squeeze by him and I felt his elbow rub across my breast, but I didn't think that's what he was talking about.

Kel

"I said. Soft. Nice."

Kyra responded with a blank expression on her face. That was one thing that I loved about the girl - so god damn innocent. Sometimes I just wondered whether she was bunging it on. No one at 20 years of age could possibly be THAT innocent could they? Not one that attractive at any rate...

I smiled and shook my head at her, the gin and tonic in my hand.

"Look sweetie, forget about it."

Kyra

"Fine, I'll forget about it Del," I smiled sweetly. He was cute, just a little strange. And that accent? Not sexy at all. Not like a slow Texas drawl.
