Why did Julian do a belly flop and Jakob did fabulously?

The Wallflowers are great, but that ill-advised Donny Osmand-ish thing that Julian had going on in the 80s was just awful.

Can anyone shed light on the subject?

Either way, they are only making their living off of their father's name.

Thank God that Yoko's kid didn't make it as a singer because his first production sucked.

Bummer. I thought you was gonna tell me they got in a knife fight or something.

I don't know much about Jakob Dylan but in Julian Lennon's case, I think it was as much about trying to find a way to feel closer to John as about a love of music. When you've got Paul Mccartney and 2 other down to earth guys as George and Ringo in your life the influence is going to rub off some. Julian does love music, but I think he got bad career advice and wasn't given the proper time to come out from behind the considerable shadow cast by his legendary ( but still absent) father. Julian was the forgotten child, the one who's life most resembled John's. I don't feel for Sean Lennon much since I read a small interview where he said the CIA killed his father. He's a screwball like his evil mother.

Not only does Jakob have a better voice...he is nicer on the eyes.

Well he's got a better voice than his dad that's for sure. Julian sounds like a clone, kinda scary.

Julian looks
acts
and

sounds like his dad........

too spooky to make it past the curiousity and nostagla phase.

Jacob Dylan on the other hand.......is good,
looks different
and
is in a band, not using his name.

I'll second that, I don't know about acts like his dad, though. John Lennon had a viscious streak a mile wide. Julian has, as far as I know, never had a negative word said about him. Are the wallflowers up to anyting these days?

I meant he acts the same as in.......

when he moves while performing.

And Jacob is a good singer........that is what I meant as well.

Oh ok, I wasn't too sure what you meant about acts like........ I get it now though. I knew that you meant Jakob is a good singer.

I actually really liked Julian Lennon. "Valotte" still makes me go all weepy. =(

It's a shame he's never had a really strong first rate album. Maybe it's time for Uncle Paul to add some bass and give him a hand.

I just hope that Julian Lennon is happy wherever he is.... hasn't had the best of lives.
