hope yu had a wonderful weekend and hopefully got some rest, mine was pretty good, we had a good trip but i was glad to get home and do a little work yesterday afternoon. have a good week, hugs as always!!

I got a lot of rest last weekend. I need to find a balance. About all I got accomplished was getting my ticket to Denver purchased for vacation and some shopping done. (Ok maybe a bit of housework). Maybe I needed to feel like a hermit.

I am glad that you got away. You sure needed it! {{{{{{{{{{{{Ljmo}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Pretty good so far, thanks, hope yours is too!

How were your days off? Since the weather turned colder and wet, I have been falling asleep when I come home. (of course work has been very busy).

John Kerry and his wife have been in Seattle the past few days but the traffic hasn't affected me since I live across the bridge from Seattle in Bellevue.

Sounds like a lot of fun (not) but it WILL look great once it is finished and you will be able to look at it with pride every time you walk over it. (I am trying to cheer you up about it:) ).

They were ok. Daniel is out of school now. He is helping my cousin move her room today at school. She hired him and my aunt's two grandkids to help move it and she is going to pay them $10 each, she was going to pay them $20 but me and my aunt thought that that was too much, especially since it is coming out of her own pocket. But afterwards they are going to go to Cici's Pizza it is all you can eat for $3.99. We went to the specialist yesterday. He took some chest x rays and breathing test. He said that the x ray looked ok and that from the test he can't determine if he actually indeed has asthma, we had been told before that he had exercise induced asthma, but he does think that he has sleep apnea so they ordered 2 sleep sessions and he will have to stay overnight at a clinic twice and then we will go back and see what needs to be done. Someone is supposed to call me to schedule those. He said that the asthma could be caused partially from the sleep apnea and him being overweight, but if we correct the sleep apnea might make it easier for him to lose weight. He also told us that at least part of his tonsils grew back! And after all that testing, etc... is done then he will address the asthma again. Daniel is a little anxious/scared for the sleep test. We explained what they will be doing, but he has never had to stay overnight before and I think that is what has him worried. He is now officially a middle school student. He passed the 6th grade and pass both portions of TAKS, Texas Acessment and Knowledge Skills, tests that they have to take every year. Reading he did really well. Math he passed but not by a whole lot! But we have already discussed what is going to be different next year, both at school and home and what is to be expected. Crossing my fingers. We are going to my nephew's graduation tonight. We thought he was going to have to go to summer school and then graduate, but he called my brother Monday and told him that he had done about 1/2 semester of work in 1 day and was going to get to graduate. They have to have tickets for ppl to come to graduation and he could only get 10, but luckily we are part of the 10. I called and my ex sister in law said that she would have him call us. He called and said "Aunt Toni did you and Daniel want to go to my graduation on Friday?" And I told him of course we would love to if there were enough tickets. And he asked about my dad, I told him that if we went, he would want to go. So we got the last 3 tickets. I am very proud of him, but he is not planning on going to college, he doesn't know what he wants to do, he just wants out! I understand where he is coming from, I was the same way, but now you HAVE to go to college! And his younger brother was supposed to graduate next year but none of thinks he will, my brother said he KNEW he wouldn't. Not sure of his daughter she is 15. They are all so smart and could do anything and be anything that they want, it is really a shame. I am sure that Daniel will. I have ground it in his head so much and he is pretty good at looking at them screwing up and learning from their mistakes. (Crossing fingers and toes on that one!!!) Each year the teachers make up special awards and try to make it so that everyone gets something, Daniel's award was Most Likely to Become President. I asked him if that is because he always lies to everyone, because he smooth talks them and tells them what he thinks they want to hear or what? He said he didn't know!

Have a great weekend. Hopefully you can get some rest this weekend. They changed the forecast for us. We got storms last night but this weekend most of it is supposed to be nice. It is cooler after the rain last night.

Since I have been very lax...long I-5 corridor hugggggggggggggs to ya, Jacqline. Kerry screwed up our traffic during rush hour on Tuesday...they shut down I-84 for his motorcade and it messed up traffic for three hours. They need to come in during off hours--not when everybody is trying to get home, like me! LOL Have a great weekend...am off to work and it's still raining here!

I did have a good day. I didn't get online yesterday morning because it was my turn to cook breakfast for the crew at work. I made this wonderful caserole that I got the recipe from recipes.com. I may never buy a cookbook again.

Everyone loved the casserole and the freshly cut seedless watermelon, cantelope, and honeydew melon.

I am sorry that you won't actually get to be at the Indy 500 but glad you are at least taking the day off to watch that. Take care and enjoy your weekend as much as possible.

good morning!! sounds like a yummy breakfast, glad yu had a good day!! yes i wish i was going to the race, be the first time in 12 years i wont be there for the green flag! i will certainly miss it, but sometimes other things have to come first!! only 2 more weeks of the trips to the hospital, thats going to help alot!! have a great weekend, hugs as always!!!

Wow, Toni, it sounds like you have lots going on in your world down there right now. The sleep apnea thing makes a lot of sense. My son didn't have the sleep apnea but he did have the kind of asthma that came on when he had a cold or exerted himself too hard (like too many minutes in a row in basketball). He eventually outgrew it and is now a professional bowler. He isn't established enough to do it fulltime, but he does bowl regional tournaments and when the tour is in the area. {It would also kill him to leave his son and his girlfriend for a long time and he has a VERY good job}.

I am happy that your nephew graduated. Hopefully he will at least find his way to a technical college or something along those lines. You are right about most people needing that extra education to make it in this world. It is sad to hear that your brother doesn't feel that his other son will do the same. You see, children are very good at feeling what parents think (whether they say it out loud or not). If his Dad feels he won't make it, then he is not likely to even try. Very sad. I hope someone mentors the boy and helps him get the ooph to go for it!

Good luck with the health thing for both of you. It is terrible not knowing for sure what is going on. I know it is scary for him to be alone that night but maybe if you enforce that your Mom will be by his side every step of the way (and you know she will), he may feel better about going.

Hugs right back at ya. Oh well, now he's screwing up traffic somewhere else.:D I don't know about Oregon, but the news last night said we have had 6 twisters so far this year! Earlier this week, a farmer's barn was completely lifted off in Tenino. This is very strange because we never have twisters like this in a whole year. Enjoy your weekend and don't work too hard.
