Week end

I hope that you all had a good holiday week-end. Mine was OK but it has been shifted a little bit. I worked Saturday and Sunday, but since our daughter's anniversary is this week-end, we had her three girls over for the night. They were here when I got home last night and then our daughter-in-law came over with her daughter. That gave us all four granddaughters here together. There is a big difference in ages but it works out. The six and ten year olds played together and 18 and 24 month olds played together and had a great time. This morning, the three that stayed over even let me sleep late, until my wife woke me up to make Michey Mouse pancakes for everybody. That was the good part of my week-end. I am off again tomorrow but I have to see my dentist to get my root canal done and have the post put in. I was supposed to be off on Wednesday also but we couldn't find anybody to cover for me so I am getting shorted a day off.

Jacqline- I pray that you are doing well and everything is going well for you at work. How was your holiday week-end? Was the weather good enough to have a picnic or bar-b-que? Is your life getting back on track?

ljmo- Has your life settled down yet? Has your son left for the Army yet? How is your wife doing? Did her last visit to the hospital help or are you going to have to go to Mayo? Remember that I am praying for both you all the time.

hope both of yu had a great weekend!! most of mine was spent working, did take sunday off to watch the race and spend a little time at home!! things went ok friday at the hospital, the surgery went fine , going to have to go back in a month and do it again!!! tomorrow is the big day for my son, he will be leaving at 8 in the morning, we had a little party last night with our friends so he is packing today and getting ready to go!!! hope you both have a great week!!!

Bob, you will be fine to go back to work after your root canal. I am sorry that you are getting shorted your day off, though! How I envy you getting all your grandchildren together.

Ljmo, I know that it is very hard to say goodbye to a child (grown or not). My daughter has been far away for 4 years now and I never have gotten used to it. On July 1st, she will start her 3 years of fellowship. I won't get to fly in to see them until at least October because my daughter will be so busy with her new studies. I am sorry that Karen has to go through this again in a month. (I know it is just as hard on you to go through it with her).

I spent the weekend very depressed. I have been putting even more hours in and the schedule is less full than it was before. Either people cannot afford to have done what they need, don't have the time to do it because their work schedule is so busy, or are just to scared to do it. I had a lot of people cancel for today last Friday before I left which is a good part of the reason for my depression. I got out for a few hours on Saturday and visited a neighbor then ran a few errands, but the rest of the weekend I was holed up in my apartment and couldn't move. Due to the holiday, my grandson didn't play baseball (I would have been able to get out to see him). I so dread having to face what I have to face today at work. My stomach is in knots thinking about it.

Special hugs back to you and your family. I know it is hard to say goodbye. It is amazing how much they mature when they are out in the real world. Your visits will be very special to him and you and the family.

Weekend

Jacqline - I pray that you have had a good weekend and that you are feeling better. I hope that you work goes better for you this week so that you will feel less stressed.

ljmo - I hope that our weekend has also been good. How are you doing after your son leaving? Is this his first time to be away from home? Our son went into the Marine Corp right after graduating from high school, but he had gone away from home for several short trips with a youth band. That made it a little easier on us. How is your wife doing? She is always in my prayers.

This weekend was fairly quiet for me. Added to everything else that is going on, I am suffering with Plantar Fasciitis, which makes it very difficult to walk. I am waiting for Friday when I can get in and get a cortisone shot in my heel. My wife and daughters went to my cousin's house two hours away for her daughter's baby shower. That gave me the whole day to myself. I decided that I was going to just take it easy and let my foot rest. I did some laundry but that was it. Today was another easy day with just rest until this evening when we went to a birthday party for two of our granddaughters. One will turn ten next week and the other one was two on the first. All of our granddaughters are great, but I am finding the two year old such a delight because she always seems so happy whenever I see her. My wife is still struggling. It seems like she has daily attacks of pain in her chest or groin. The doctors just keep giving her more pain medications but they don't help very much. She sees her doctor again tomorrow, so we will see what he has to say.

Bob, Thanks for all the good wishes. I have had massive bone spurs in my heels for years. It is so weird, after I had a certain amount of cortisone shots many years ago, they stopped bothering me. I never wanted to go through the surgery because the doc said they mostly come back anyway. What did the Dr. say about your wife? Hugs for both of you..............

Ljmo, how did your business trip go? I hope that you are having a good week even if it is busy. I didn't get much sleep last night then I got woken up by someone faxing me over two hours before I was supposed to wake up! I am on the do not call list to boot! Of all nights for that to happen!!!! I need to get ready for work now. Hugs for you and Karen...............

My wife saw her doctor yesterday and he told that he thought that she had fibromyalgia. Last Friday, the doctor that was covering for him said he thought the same thing. Now we can start to treat something.

I hope you do get a chance to go to the rodeo- it is a nice chance for you to get away from your very long work week and enjoy things you like to do.

I have a lot to get done around the place here, but I will take relaxing intervals, and nothing will stop me from going to see my Grandson's baseball game. Sadly, there are only two games left I will sure miss getting to see everyone every weekend.

I'm sorry.....It has been tough and long days at work. People have been cancelling a lot and I have been scrambling to try to fill the schedule. It just wears me out. I mostly come home from work and collapse.

This Saturday will be my Grandson's last baseball game this season. I will sure miss going to them. I am glad that you got to go to the rodeo.

I am fine.........just tired.
