I am so happy for you. Earlier, I was feeling badly because of you impending "doom", and my wife's problems. Now that things are working out for you and my wife is in bed sleeping, I am going to go to bed and get a good night's sleep. I knew deep down that you were going to be OK. And I know that the prayers helped things along. I guess you have a busy weekend ahead of you and I am going to pray that it will be as good as today has been.

ljmo-- i am also praying for you and your wife.

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{Bob}}}}}}}}}}}}}}Prayers always work. In fact, since Dr. and I had our talk on Friday, things have picked up as well. It is like when the stress was relieved, the energy went to people calling to come in and get their work done. We had a new lady come in that has started a LOT of work in her mouth and is referring us to her friend. These are the kinds of things we have been needing to happen.

I haven't spoken to my daugther, but I heard that Denver had a blizzard. It is so crazy because just before that I had seen that the weather had been 80 degrees. I remember her telling me that the weather can change dramatically there. I have started writing a book for my granddaughter and then I will read it to her and record it on a disk. I miss that lovely baby.

Jacqline I am so happy that things have turned out so good for you. How was your week? Have you been able to start on your new ideas? I hope that you have a good weekend planned also.

Our weekend is on hold until next week. This is my weekend to work. So my "weekend" this week is Tuesday and Wednesday and then again Saturday and Sunday. We are going to Santa Barbara next Friday night for the weekend. We need to get away and relax. I had to take my wife to the E.R. last night and we just got home. She was having chest pains that just would not stop. Two pain meds and nitro wouldn't touch it. It turns out to be reflux and esophogeal spasms. Hopefully by changing one med and starting two more will take care of the problem. Today is going to be rough for me. I dozed a little bit at the hospital, but I haven't been to bed since 6AM yesterday morning. I have an important meeting this morning at 10AM for a new program that we are starting so I don't have time to get any sleep. After the meeting, I have time for lunch and then I work until 9PM. Then it will be time to crash and get ready for a 10 hour day tomorrow. Believe me, I am going to be ready for Tuesday. You guys take care and enjoy.

sorry to hear your wife is having problems again, i truely understand how frustrating all that can be!! hope she gets better soon!! it looks like it will be a nice day tomorrow, i think there are about 10 or 12 going to ride so it will be fun for all i am sure!!! we got more good news from the dr today!! my wife's iron level and all her bloodwork was very much improved so maybe all that is in the past!! have a great weekend!!

Bob, I am so sorry to hear about your night in the emergency room with your wife. I hope that the meds get straightened out so there will be no more trips in the middle of the night. Lack of sleep and working long hours don't mix, especially in your occupation. I hope you are able to get lots of rest very soon.

Ljmo, I hope the ride went well for all yesterday. I know how much you enjoy that. You need to mix enjoyment with all the work you do. I am so happy to hear that Karen's iron level is constantly improving. You are right, the Mayo Clinic was worth the drive.

I don' t know when things are going to be different where I work. The Dr. is having to go out of the country for two weeks starting this coming Saturday. Everything is kind of on hold for now. I'm just trying to keep my spirits up until then.

hope yu had a wonderful weeekend!!! we had a nice weekend here, weather was great, but now for the mule ride, it was ok had a few difficult times, and yes i got my ass dumped, not really hurt got a couple bad brusies, one on my leg about the size of a softball!! still we all had a great time!! I got lots of chores done around the place this weekend. I bought a small crock pot and did some experimenting with it so I can have more healthy meals. I usually pop in a frozen dinner when I get home because I am so tired. I am up early to go to the hospital to get my blood drawn for a fasting blood draw. I went to the Dr. last week and after 4 tries of not getting any blood, I said, "That's it, no more. I will only go to the hospital for blood draws. They at least get it on the first or second try".

Hallelujah! They got my blood on the first try! I was out of there in a few minutes and to work on time. It has been very busy for me so far this week as well. I got home at 8 pm last night and collapsed. These 11 hour days are killers! Thank goodness that business is good this week.

Great news

Jacqline, that is great news. I know how bad it can be when they can't hit a vein. I don't usually have a problem for lab tests, but I have had times when it has taken 45 minutes and three nurses to get an IV going. And my wife is even worse. Oh, well, now that they have your blood, we'll just have to pray that the results are good. I am also glad that things have picked up at work. I will pray that it will continue.

ljmo I am glad that your wife is doing better and that all things considered you had a good weekend riding.

Last weekend at work was fairly slow but overall pretty good. Yesterday and today were my days off and I really to advantage of them. Yesterday I went in for a Swedish massage, like I do every three weeks when I am off during the week. It is so relaxing and helps get rid of many of the aches and pains. Then I went over to Costco to get an upgrade for Quicken and found "Meet The Fockers". It was such a funny movie we just had to have it. Today, after sleeping late, I took my wife over to a German restaurant and treated us to Weinerschnitzel, red cabbage, German Potato salad and apple struedle. I got an extra bonus when an endocrinologist who worked across the street at the hospital came in and sat at the table next to us with some sales reps and talked about diabetes. I learn so new things and so did my wife, who also has diabetes. After that, we came home and I got some much needed yard work done. I have a gardner to take care of the front yard and the back lawn, but I do the back flower beds. They had gotten out of hand. I either had to do something about them or I was going to have to get a native guide to get me through them. Well, it is getting late so I guess I had better get to bed. Everybody have a good rest of the week.

I am glad that you had a good couple of days off. We all need that. I sure miss having a garden to work in. Outdoor flowers were my specialty. I had a whole side of the house that was every variety of dahlias and some got to be 8" in diameter. Weeding is good therapy for what ails you.

Did you find out anything about diabetes that might help me? I would sure appreciate it if you would pass it along.......

I am going to have to nail her down on a date to go see her as well as get a time with my boss that works for her. I am hoping for around the 4th of July.

I got to see another game Saturday of my grandson. It was at 9am. I don't think the boys were quite awake. They weren't as good as they were at 1 pm their first game. The rest of the weekend I didn't do a whole lot. I was especially tired and trying to fight off a bug. I will be doing a lot of bookwork today since Dr. is gone and will get off early. Tomorrow we will have a substitute Dentist.

ljmo-- That is a unigue honor getting to give your son his diploma. After struggling so hard to get our son through, it would have been a real privilege to do that. I hope you had a good weekend and will have a good week.

Jacqline -- It sounds like some good times are ahead. I hope that you were awake enough to be able to cheer your grandson on. I can remember those early mornings when our kids were playing soccer. They would start as early as 7AM. Their baseball was usually in the afternoon and evening. We had so much fun. I'm glad that you got a chance to rest, but why did it have to be to fight off another flu? You have had too rough a time with colds and flus this year.

We had a great weekend. It was probably one of the most relaxing trips we have taken in a long time. We went to Carpenteria, near Santa Barbara. Saturday, we went to the Museum of Natural HIstory as part of a project for a class that my wife is taking at the Junior College. After eating a great Italian dinner, we went to the beach and walked out on the wharf. Sunday, all we did was read in the garden at our hotel and then go to the beach again. Walking, eating our lunch on the beach, and sitting on the sand watching the waves made four hours at the beach just zip by. On our way home, Jacqline, I told my wife how you read to your granddaughter on CD, and that I thought she might have fun doing that. She also thought it would be fun. Do you do any sound effects when you are reading? Do you send the book along with the CD?

Maybe I need to come up and see you. Tonight, I was eating the second half of my Chicken Santa Rosa from Saturday night with some bread stick, I broke off a crown. My dentist recently retired, so I am going to have to see the new dentist that is replacing him. At least I don't have any pain. It looks like I am going to give my dentist some of the work you need.

As far as the first CD went, I didn't send the book, because it was from a book given to me when I was 3 years old. It has a lot of sentimental value. I started the CD with a letter to my granddaughter, which I sent a hard copy to her as well. I don't have any music going or anything else, because I want her to concentrate on my voice and connect to me. My daughter said that they like to play it for her when they are on a trip to the mountains. It relaxes her.

Right now I am in the process of writing her a story. I will record it then send the story in print as well. I may fill the CD with my stories to her. What better gift than a CD filled with adventures that you are the star? If I can't be with her, I can at least write her stories!

I was awake for the baseball game but the kids weren't too energetic! I felt so sorry for my grandson's mom.......she works nights. She got an hour's sleep before she came to the game.

Yes, it sounds like you will be needing a new crown. Hopefully you will not need a root canal as well. My DDS does both. A lot of dentists send people out for root canals. Take care of that as soon as possible.

I found out today that I didn't have to be toothless all by myself. My 6 yo granddaughter lost her first tooth. Boy, is she excited and happy.

I got to go home early tonight. We have had air conditioning problems. Yesterday the temperature was 84 degrees in the pharmacy. Last night they got one of the units working so today it was 66 degrees. At about 7:30PM the air conditioner decided that enough was enough and and blew out and filled the whole store with freon. Well, what am I going to have tomorrow after I see the dentist?

I hope that you can start a good repoire with the new dentist that you had with your former one. I am sure that your retired dentist wouldn't turn over his patients to just anyone. He must have checked the new one out well before turning his patients over to the new one. Everything will be fine.

Today has got to be better than yesterday. I got a call at work yesterday telling me that my eyeglasses were ready in a town one hour away. Come to find out, someone had gotten ahold of my information, including my social security number, address, work number, and birtday. They registered as husband and wife for insurance using my address as the billing address. I don't belong to this insurance company. I called them and found out this information and told them that they better not be sending me any bills.

The police officer called me after talking to the insurance company and told me that they found out what company the guy has his insurance through so hopefully they can get his address, etc. through them. They also told me that the other person using my name had the same exact birthday but one year different. This triggered something last night. The only place that knows my work # is the clinic I went to in Sept. (They have branches in the town one hour away). If they told the other person about me like they told me about her, she could have gotten my information from someone there or gotten to a computer and gotten the information.

Now I have to go through everything to see if they have ruined my credit or what. They have had my information since November of 2004.

Please keep me in your prayers. If the police can prove that the info came from that clinic, I am going to sue them big time! The HIPPA act was made to protect the privacy of patients!

It is unbeleivable all that you have had to go through. I do pray that you have caught this before who ever stole your id has not ruined everything for you. I am sure that now you are worried and scared. You have been an ispiration for me in the way you have kept a positive attitude during everything in the past, so I know that you are going to come out of this situation again. I don't have to tell you, but I will, Your friends and family here are with you. If there is anything that we can do, just let us know. The prayers are always yours.

I saw my new dentist yesterday and he is really a very nice guy. Just hearing my name and he associated it with my daughter who he had just seen one time almost a year ago. He is very caring and personable. He told me that I will need a root canal, a post and a new crown. I am fortunate that our company has changed insurance plans and it is better than before. They will pay for 2/3 of it. I just have to wait until the end of next month before my schedule will allow me the time to go in, but I don't have any pain so that's OK.
