For myself (I cannot speak for others), orgasms are much more mental than physical. This is true of the orgasms I give to others or those I have of my own. In my opinion (and I have a fair bit of experience with "tantric" sexual disciplines and "retaining the seed" as I call it), the ejaculation is in fact the key element of male sexual pleasure.
