As usual, stats tell the truth. Here are Jackie's totals for the postseason:

Games = 38
AB's = 137
Hits = 32
Avg = .234
HR = 2
RBI = 12
SB = 6

In 1955, the Dodgers won the World Series. Did Jackie contribute? You be the judge:

Games = 6
AB's = 22
Hits = 4
Avg = .182
RBI = 1

The legend of this nigger doesn't match the facts!:D

There's already a thread for this.

Why are you dickriding Robinson tonight?

Robinson is overrated and was an arbitrary selection to be the first to break the color barrier.

The Dodgers thought Satchel Paige, who deserved the honor, would be too outspoken.

Robinson was a very good, but not great, ballplayer. He never got it done in the World Series and played just 10 years. The last 3 of those years were sub-par. IF he were white his election to the HOF would have been very much in doubt. Now, everyone is falling over #42 as if he were a legend. The stats don't infer a legend.

Now, everyone is falling over #42 as if he were a legend.

The fact that he was the first black man to play MLB is qualification alone for instant legend...

...and regardless of who else could've/would've/should've been first, or career stats you deem not legendary, Robinson was first and the professional way he carried himself throughout his path-breaking career - despite racists bozos like you inciting him to fail all the way - set an example for other greats to emulate.

Here's what "legend" means:

No other athlete in the history of major league, professional American team sports has ever had his number retired universally...

Yeah, and Thomas Edison fucked over Nickola Tesla. There are a thousand instances of shit like this.

Who gives a flying fuck?

IF you can't see the PR purpose to the legend of Jackie Robinson I can't help you.

IF you can't see how much of a non-factor he was in championship play you don't understand baseball in the least. Ali Reynolds of the Yankees could not wait to face him because he knew Jackie would, and did, choke.

Robinson IS all hype thanks to being black.

Overrated nigger hit .182in the lone championship. Awesome Jackie!

Every year the Yankee pitching staff snickering over the "choke" artist.
