Ok, I admit it, I cannot get enough.

MTV UK show two shows every night, from midnight, and I just HAVE to watch them. :D

They make me PMSL!!! There's just something so bloody hilarious about silly people doing insane things and causing themselves pain and injury. I've always absolutely loved visual, slapstick humour and Jackass just takes it to another level.

Fucking crazy!!! :nana:

Ok, buggering off to watch it now...

:D

You have just disappointed me....I never thought you would sink to jackass level.

Never seen it.

And my opinion of humanity is low enough I don't think I will.

I'll sink to any level, darlin'.

But they provide a brilliant public service: they make the rest of us feel so sane. :D

I can imagine. :D

AND???

As long as you get spanked first, you'll sink to whatever level is required of you. Especially if you are told very firmly..... ;)

Lou? Aren't you supposed to be watching people qualify for a Darwin Award?

Yup, I'm going back to it now... The ad break is over. :D

Yessiree, spot on! :cathappy:

Have you seen the one where they're all sitting on the floor in a room, spread-eagle, in their tightie-whities, and they take turns throwing golf balls at each others nuts? It's such asinine behavior, I howled.

Tastes differ

The first time I saw Jackass it was funny. For me it got old REALLY quick.

Just as long as you don't say "Steve O is Hot". He's annoying and kinda ugly with the most annoying voice.

See the movie. Steve-O snorts lines of raw wasabi mustard like cocaine.

I still can't believe it.

the only one thing that made me gag was being tipped upside down in a port o lette
ohmygod! *gag*
but all the rest was pretty funny... the kind of thing where i wind up sayin... "o! no they didn't!"
agree with lou...its like a public service announcement
btw... was it really worth the snicker to shove a matchbox car up your ass so the doctor would be perplexed by the xrays? OUCH!

You can never underestimate...

These shows support the argument that you can never underestimate the stupidity of American men.

Then there's Wild Boyz . I haven't seen an episode, but have seen this clip. In it, they approach wild lions while dressed in a Zebra costume.

Described by MTV :

Spearheaded by its two stars of low moral caliber, Chris Pontius and Steve-O, the boys pack their G-strings and travel to exotic lands of wonder, mystery and intrigue as America’s foremost ambassadors of absurd goodwill. Engaging in close cultural encounters with a diversity of dangerous wildlife and native peoples, discover once again just how far off the evolutionary mark Steve-O and Pontius may actually be.

Jackass is like dope. A little bit is fun and exhilarating. A little more and you don't feel so good. Too much and you're in the pit of despair, disgusted with yourself.

Try MXC (Extreme Elimination Challenge) instead. Watching these earnest and gung-ho Japanese fall into muck is much more rewarding.

Edited to add: The worst show that happened to fall into my sphere of attention lately involves some star like JayLo or Carmen Diaz or someone on a supposed ecological jaunt around the planet. There's something nauseating about seeing these stone-dumb bimbos oohing and ahhing at dying coral reefs and riding on elephants.

It reminds me of Mariah Carey's comment on the dying children of Eritrea. She said something like, "I'd love to be so thin, but I couldn't stand all those flies."

Jesus, doesn't the U.S. already have enough PR problems overseas?

I'm not worried about Lou mocking us. UK did lose two wars to us, after all. :)

MXC is brilliant. The dubovers are hilarious.

I'm with Lou on this. I also like Viva La Bam very much.
