I'm actually jealous of the dude. He's doing music most closely to what I've been doing for years - yet he's done it big.

I love his shit - funny as hell - "Fuck Her Gently" is a classic!

holy shit, I just downloaded some fo their stuff, and answered my own question... it's funny stuff, but I'm afraid they'll get kicked out of th place they're supposed to play, because this place prides itself on only booking "bands" that are CLEAN for the whole family. Thus the name "Family Arena".

FYI - Jack Black is one talented dude...

He's the actor - the current lead in the Gwenyth Paltrow (spelling there?) movie where she's a Phatty and he sees her slim.

He's also a comedian here in NYC among other entertaining things.

Yes - see/hear Tenacious D for sure - it won't happen for very long - he's too good and will become too famous to keep that up.

I loved Tenacious D back when they were a Mr. Show bit.

I loved Mr. Show...till it stopped being funny. But when it was funny, man was it classic.

I first saw him with John Cusack in "High Fidelity" and thought, "wow, he sings really well". The "Fuck Her Gently" vid is sooo funny. I am looking forward to "Shallow Hal" Looks good.
