I'd been thinking about getting one for a long time and finally, last week I did. A small, digital voice recorder to catch my random ideas and brain farts. Since I'm in the process of writing a book, this little device has helped me out immensely.

No more scrambling to jot notes down in my book and later trying to figure out the handwriting; no more having to pull my notebook out while I'm walking down the street; no more losing good ideas because I didn't have my notebook handy.

Now all I do is speak into the recorder whenever the mood hits me and then transcribe the notes at my leisure.

I know I'm probably late to jump on the recorder bandwagon but if there's anyone out there who doesn't have one yet you can rely on my shining endorsement.

They are great. I bought mine to record myself when working out arias with my accompanist, but became addicted to using it to record E.V.Ps while walking around cemetaries asking questions. *laugh* Works great.

By the way- I announce it before the whole world [of people, on the boards, at Literotica, reading this thread, at this given moment, I guess] that I have been REMISS, Carmen mio bene- a phone call to you is long overdue. So, having publicly exposed myself for the ill-mannered little beast that I am, I humbly request permission to call you tomorrow at eight o clock. I would do so tonight, but I seem to have burned my retinas while planting camelias in my yard at high noon (such wisdom), and am now in the grip of the most exquisitely nauseating migraine....ah.

Huge, hurking love, Miss Depressed Pencil
