I've been hacked

I left a comment on my stolen story and didn't have to join the site.

Also the problem there is he only grabs the first page. So there is no ending for those, if any, that go there.

You're right. You don't have to join the site to leave a comment. I have two stolen stories on the site that I know of. One includes the paragraph I always add to the ends of stories I submit and the other does not, because it is only the first page. I left a comment on the second one that included an URL to my stories on Lit.

I went and left comments on a few stories, where I could remember the author's names. Sorry for those I couldn't, but sheer numbers make it impossible. I wonder if you can see any following pages if you join the site, not that I'm going to.

i'm afraid to look

i found the one story that i hoped i wouldn't find and that was it for me, i didn't have the courage to look any further. thanks to pennlady, for letting me know about this, and i hope laurel and manu are successful in getting him shut down. sorry if my spelling is off, i just have been having a bad day.

That's why I usually, not always, put that in the beginning. ;)

Sorry to post the same message in two threads, but I wanted to make sure as many people as possible see this:

We have another idea for fighting this site that we would like to get help with. It turns out that Google App Engine does not allow adult content. If you look on their TOS here:
http://code.google.com/appengine/program_policies.html

It says the following:

Prohibited Content: Pornographic, obscene or excessively profane content

If we can get enough people to let Google know that this site contains adult content on a hosting service that was not intended for adult content, then hopefully they will remove it based on that violation, even if they don't seem to want to remove it based on copyright violations.

Here is the form to file a complaint about the adult content (and/or copyright theft):
http://code.google.com/support/bin/request.py?contact_type=AppEngineContact

Thank you to everyone who takes the time to file a report. :D

A few years back, we banded together and inundated a host server with hundreds of constant emails. After a little web research, we found the corporate offices and email addresses to most officers in the company. We ended up shutting the server down with the amount of traffic we sent them. Most of us ended up getting blocked after receiving numerous emails asking us to cease our activities. By the end of the day, the site was completely shut down and did not come back to life.

Yes, we've seen the same! :)

Usually, when a site is hosted with a normal hosting company, the host is reasonable about closing down sites with stolen content. However, this site is hosted on some special Google project hosting. For whatever reason, we can't seem to get Google to remove the entire site. They are willing to remove individual stories if we jump through 100 hoops, but the person who made the site can post stolen stories (or parts of them) faster than we can jump through those hoops.

We are hoping that the new idea - filing a complaint stating that the content is not allowed on that hosting service - will lead to the site finally being shut down. Please, if you have a few extra minutes, go and make a complaint at the link above.

Thanks! :D

This site has hijacked some of my stories, too, so I took the advice of someone, TxRad maybe, and got in touch with one of the site's sponsors and complained. Did no good, my stories are still on there.

It would appear this site is no longer a problem...

Received this just a minute ago...

the http://orz8.appspot.com application has been removed from the system.

pls report any other similar system on the appspot.com domain which features violations like the ones you described.

thanks,
-wesley, App Engine support team

In response to my child porn email to them. :D
