I've been gone so long...

i bet no one remembers me- or why they would have missed me in the first place.
But I've been told that some people really do miss me, and have been worried- and I am so grateful for that, really...
And I miss Lit, so I'm back!

Anyway,. I'm surviving, and I have a job I like- after a couple of crap jobs. I even took a telemarketing job. You can imagine I was actually pretty persuasive, and the item I was selling was worth selling, but minimum wage OR commission was too discouraging.

I started looking for something better, and now I am painting faux finishes and murals with a woman who does nothing but that. This is my first job with her, in a macmansion in north Hollywood. WE've done faux wood panelling in the study, faux limestone blocks in the husband's bathroom. We did blue walls for the little boy, with clouds and balls- every boy wants balls in his bedroom, right? Soccar, baseball, football and basketballs, floating against this nice blue background. I painted one basketball right next to his bed, to keep him company at night.

Now we are doing the little girl's room- pink, and more pink, with... chocolate between. Oddly enough, it looks pretty good, but I would never let my daughter dwell amid so much pink!

ANyway, the pay is good, and the hours are copious- and I have been able to pay all my bills for the first time in four months. But I have maybe three to five hours in which I am both at home and awake. If I cheat and stay up late, I really pay for it at work- this is very physical stuff. Lots of lifting and carrying, and some of the techniques involve hitting a wall repeatedly for hours at a time...

SO, that's what I've been doing! The worlk is sporadic, so there may be weeks when I have no work with her. And then. of course, I'll have more time here. But- I'm back.

So, what's new? Who's in love with whom? Who's new stories should I read? :cathappy:

Well *I* missed you lots and lots! I'm so glad you are back. hugs and kisses!

Welcome back, Stella! I'm glad things have settled a bit for you! I've been away as well and don't know if anyone remembers me either.

Welcome back STELLAAA!. Telemarketing sucks shit, but happy to hear you persevered what most of us in desperate times go through for as long as you did. North Hollywood - lol - yes it is so faux, which is better than the artifice on Rodeo - Lived there - done that and doesn't a pretty in pink room just yell ... PORN!? :D

Mostly, I am glad to see you well. :)

This is weird.

A pattern is emerging.

Heya Stella! I was just thinking about you actually, so I'm so glad to see you back and posting and also doing well. You've definitely been missed. :p

Who are you?

Just kidding! Welcome back. The new gig sounds very good - strenuous in just the right ways, with some opportunities to be creative and enter "flow."

Whose stories should you read? Mine of course! Just kidding again - my plain whitebread tales of lesbian lust are certainly not your cup of tea.

So just add my voice to the "welcome back" chorus.

Sincerely,

Roxanne

Edited to add: Oh yeah, do read Boxlicker's troll-troll (and my "chapter 2" to it, which is a PC.) Fem's first is touching. As is Kbate's newbie. Some readers suspect there are personal elements in those two poignant memoirs, er, stories. Kbate is about to have a baby like any day now. (Any minute now?)

'Vana and Samandriel are still carrying on like a pair of lovesick puppies. It's completely charming, and makes me feel young again.

You call it a pattern, I see it as a terrifying Rorschasch Blot
