It's "Twitter Freedom Friday!"

Well we finally learned today how Elon Musk will regain lost advertising revenue!
On November 23, 2023 Musk famously told advertisers to "go fuck themselves"

Today, a pissy little Elon Musk decided to file lawsuits against almost every individual company who had advertised on X/Twitter when he overbought the company, if they decided to stop advertising on his now-fringe-right platform, they were "committing a conspiracy against him to deprive him of advertising revenue".

Musk is learning that "actions have consequences". Not a single advertiser on X/Twitter depended on X/Twitter as their primary advertising platform. "Fuck us? Fuck You!" they appeared to have said.
fucked around and found out.

Advertisers plan to withdraw from X in record numbers

A record number of firms plan to cut advertising spending on X next year because of concerns that extreme content on the platform could damage their brands, dealing another blow to the financial fortunes of Elon Musk’s social media company.

A global survey by market research firm Kantar found that a net 26% of marketers plan to decrease their spending on X in 2025, the biggest recorded pullback from any major global ad platform. Only 4% of marketers overall think X ads provide “brand safety” — certainty that their ads won’t appear alongside extreme content — compared with 39% for Google ads, Kantar said in a report Thursday.

“Advertisers have been moving their marketing spend away from X for several years,” Gonca Bubani, Kantar’s global thought leadership director for media, said in a statement, adding that “a turnaround currently seems unlikely.”

You know, for all this hoopla about an omniscent "algorithm", I cannot help but smirk each time there is an airplane crash reported on Twitter and Elon's little playtoy immediately "floods the zone" with nonstop airline vacation ads.

Letting that "Sink In" was just the beginning.

Fist comes the "Code Walk Through", damn I'd like to be in on that. Followed by pink slips for 75-80% of the employees. Hell, if it were me I'd re-incorporate in TX, or FL. Maybe that's next.

And the employees wrote and open letter to Musk and then punctuated it with demands. Apparently they think they're still in charge. They should probably have been better off listing to some old Bob Dylan "cause a hard rain's gonna fall."

You can always tell when you're dealing with the delusional in that they demand respect. Never seems to occur to them that respect is earned.
