It's that time of year again!

So... basically, this is a magazine where women parade in bikinis, have I got that right?

So what's the big deal? They're wearing even less in porno mags?

Actually it used to be a big deal, twenty years ago. It was a part of my young adulthood.

Looking at it today, I had the same thought as you I see as good looking photos every day, of ordinary girls, in Flickr.

Although there have been some legends on the pages of SI. Elle MacPherson, Rachel Hunter--women that must be from another planet.

But it remains a sign of a coming spring, and that is always good news.

Note : The sports illustrated swim suit edition was originally conceived to fill in during a week in February when there were few sports going on. The Superbowl was past, baseball spring training had yet to start. Only basketball and hockey, then not popular sports, were going on.

Almost from the start, they sold more issues of the swimsuit issue, than all other weeks of the year combined!

Totally understand that!

Was just looking for it, but couldn't find in my bookmarks, an excellent article on photoshoping. Guy took a photo of a typical girl, and then he showed step by step using photoshop to make subtle changes (hair color, eye color, blouse color, tightened her waist, increased her breast size etc.) until all together there was a dramatic change. I wish I could have found it. It was educational.

Kitty Barbie! :catroar:

There's a concept!
Yes, I can see the marketing campaign now! Posters spread accross Toys R Us stores nationwide. Oh wait, they're closing half their stores...never mind!

Meow :cathappy:

so, just curious... does seeing airbrushed women make you want a woman that looks like that? Do you have to lower your standards then? Or is it just fun eye-candy?

I truly don't like the airbrushed woman...All natural for me baby! :D

I love women, period.

I am an unabashed fan of all things female. Airbrushing neither accentuates, nor hinders what it is that makes a woman amazing to me.

Fun eye candy. Fantasy world...

I prefer real women, with real breasts.

A healthy trust fund would be okay too.

Yeah, like the one in your AV?
Any of my AV's would be a perfect example.

You have you Chippendales, I have my AV's.

But unlike the bikini models, the Chippendales don't have to be air-brushed to look PERFECT. Trust me on this. I've felt them.

And there aren't photos on the web of me and the bikini girls.

Nooo....you don't say! Sorry, but sarcasm was an irresistible temptation here. Of COURSE they are airbrushed! It's a MAGAZINE! They are trying to present a certain artistic representation for the aesthetic pleasure of the readers (not mention their wet dreams). I wouldn't expect my slave to look like that. I have never expected a woman to look like that. Then again, I am rather eclectic in my tastes.

so if you don't expect perfect, or even want perfection in a woman... then what is the attraction of looking at it??

I'm really just curious... men seem such visual creatures... it's like a different language to me, sometimes...

I appreciate beauty, both sexually and artistically, whether it is realistic or not. Frankly, I wouldn't mind a magazine that showed women without airbrushing. Flaws can be rather attractive and grab my attention as well. They might even be endearing at times.

Men are very much visual creatures.

A woman can be highly enticing, even if she's not perfect.

There is no such thing as perfect breasts, or perfect legs, or perfect face, etc. etc. It is the entire package we love. A woman with stunning body, and a woman with a not quite stunning body but a great smile. The second one wins, in my mind.

The strong, tall, athletic woman with the piercing gaze is sexy. So is the shy, waif with her hands in her pockets, gazing downward mostly, but looking up alluringly.

it is hard not to find something about any woman that isn't somehow attractive.

I caught some special on the SI issue last night on cable...

I take it back...

unless they airbrush video, these women are perfect!
